发帖数: 414 | 13 父亲中风送去了EL CAMINO ER，第一次送去的时候在已经有中风症状的情况下竟然没有
查出来，误诊为病毒感染。已经准备找律师起诉这个ER的医生。如果看了ER转到医院，
医院的收费狂贵。
孩子有次几天不大便，送去stanford children hos的ER，等的时间很长，医生也觉得没
什么水平。当初太太怀孕期间也进过一次ER，没有什么坏的印象，但是也没什么好的印
象，不好评论。
good sam是当初带父亲看一位中医的时候中医推荐的，说收费合理，医生水平还行。我
自己没经历过。
总之，美国医生水平真的很差，收费贵的离谱，当然，有保险也许收费方面问题不大。
如果是家中没有保险的老人生病一定要注意了。也可以事先好好研究一下家附近的urge

对，我也是这么想。 要先研究一下附近的 urgent care. urgent care 我们去过 PAMF
Mountain View and Palto Alto 的。 感觉 PA 的比 MV 的强。 ER或是urgent care
最重要的是医生立即就能诊断出正确的病因。 上次我父亲去PAMF MV的urgent care本
来是心脏不舒服结果等了一小时，结果什么没查出来说让回家喝水。
good sam 是有很多中国妈妈在那里生小孩，但是不知道医生水平如何。

医训练通过同样的考试，当然一个班的学生成绩也有好有坏但平均起来是差不多的。
ER是给不马上处理就会有生命威胁的人准备的，没有真的急症没必要去ER, 否则就不要
埋怨等半天才看到医生又被打发回家了。医生不可能不先看重的病人。
有事打911, 如果你还能开车去ER那多半你不需要去, 救护车知道该送你去哪个医院，
胸痛的一定会送到有cath lab的医院，中风的会送到stroke center, 他们比你清楚。
如果你是kaiser的保险，那你得去kaiser。 |

Good Samaritan医院不错，单间，我C的，和宝共住院三天，大人医疗费3.3万，小孩医
疗费9千，这光是医院的费用，生产当天麻醉师和妇产科大夫的费用还要另算。
所以没保险的话，要和妇产科大夫和医院去谈package,可能会便宜不少。医院不行的话
，可以生的时候按ER去看，没保险医院也不能据收，如果你和宝宝都不打算再来美国了
，就赖帐吧。
但是妇产科大夫，没有保险，根本就见不到，到生的时候没人知道你怀孕期间的状况，
基本就是把自己和宝宝的命别在腰上呀，妇产科大夫的钱一定不能省。
另外孕期还要做很多检查如抽血B超等，这个钱也是省不了的，因为没有保险的话，必
须先付钱才做检查，抽血B超很贵，也只能试着谈package。
总而言之，没保险生娃要口袋很深，要么就愿意take risk，憋到生的时候去看ER。 |

Chen, 见了几次下来觉得每次都挺匆忙，感觉一般般吧。昨天感觉身体不适差点晕倒，
打电话过去想约见一下都被前台拦了下来，说晕倒应该找family doctor。告诉她宝宝
动得异常也被告知是我感觉错了，说16周不可能感觉宝宝动。。。实在是不能再忍了，

车上应该放一套雪链，并且事先练习如何装雪链。即使你是四驱车，也要看车子轮胎大
小，小型的四驱车如 CR-V 那种，或者什么 cross over，最好也备副雪链；大型的
SUV 或卡车，well，可能还可以不用买，不过钱也不多，没必要省这钱。我曾经在个大
雪天，连高速公路都积雪数寸，众车动弹不得的时候，开着一辆大型 SUV，没有雪链，
来回机场一趟，感觉自己好像开坦克车般神勇，但事后暗怪自己不该逞强，太冒险了。
如果你的车常停在户外，车上必须有个可以刮除车窗冰雪的 window wiper。

on good intention, but worst case scenario if the person dies, you may get
sued for negligent homicide. The Good Samaritan Laws only apply to medical

者，即使你是志愿的也不行。所以CPR training 只要上了就好，不是拿来做职业的话
就不用去考证了。
还有这个CPR training很多化工和油公司都有提供学费让员工去上的。可以问一下公司
的HR或者查公司的benefit website.

alarmed if they see firearms openly carried by a customer. He tried to do
the right thing. I highly doubt police would charge a good Samaritan with "
breach of peace." Even gun nuts would have to agree this doesn't make sense
