用来解决多版本共存、方便为每个项目单独定制库依赖用的，是好东西。
你是不是没搞清楚怎么用啊。
我个人感觉ruby生态环境的主要问题是思想比较激进，对向后兼容不足，
一些库的minor版本升级也会break code（python社区相对保守，对兼容性考量较多）。
但这也正是rvm派上用场的时候。 |

matter of fact, gold is still beating DOW on its YTD so far this year
this year-long basing prepares a pretty good launching pad for gold

as for miners, my pick SAND, RGLD, PPP and TGD are all doing well

ibm production jvm 也是用c++写的，只有jikes rvm是用java写的
intel 和 microsoft的优化编译器也是用c++写的
visual studio大部分都是c++
linux和其他一推用c写的库里面用函数指针来实现c++里的late binding |

不吃透细节的话，所谓那些傻瓜软件，最坑人了。比如一个基本问题：用 RMA 时，如
何决定哪些 samples 可以在一个 batch 处理，哪些不可以？没有任何傻瓜软件会跟你
解释这个问题，而你要是不熟悉其背后的统计模型和你要回答的问题，做出来的结果可
想而知啊。再比如说用 limma 时，设计 contrast group 时要考虑到其对应的
empirical Bayessian model。再比如说用 RVM 时，要评估拟合 inverse gamma
distribution 的好坏。这些关键细节，直接决定分析结果是不是有严重偏差甚至错误。
真正做 bioinformatics 的人，其实也经常用傻瓜软件，但那是建立在对背后的统计模
型相当熟悉，对 microarray 从设计到实验到分析都很清晰的基础上，而且对常见的容
易出问题的地方也很清楚。用同样的工具，跟初学者还是大不一样的。 |
