人说，rubberwood也挺经济实惠的，但是国内人老说橡木比橡胶木高出不止一个档次。。。

very fast - there are lots of plantation in Thailand and Indonesia for them,
costplus even advertises rubberwood as renewal timber. with engineering
treatment they are "qualified" as hardwood for market.
if you are talking about rosewood and like, yes it's growing much much slower
and thru centuries of Chinese furnishing industry, it's source are dwindling,

grain，材质上是和oak相似，但也有人把rubberwood和teak相比。
rosewood ebony应该说都是“特种”木材了吧，known for their acoustics，多用做

起其他木头在干燥的天气里更容易开裂，还有maple好像比oak要durable一些，可能就
是因为maple比oak要硬吧。 |

其实我也不喜欢1，因为又是veneer。不是真实木。如果非要在里面选，那就选1。

walnut, cherry比oak 好。基本上high end的家具都是mahogany, walnut或者Cherry做
的。rubberwood 品质和 oak 相似。

是单独卖的，加起来大约2000块，价钱样子都挺好：

可是木头是rubberwood,橡胶木，网上查了一下，说这种木头很不好，可能比松木还软。
想请问在costco买过家具的同学，你们买的家具木头是哪一种，价位是多少。是不是
2000块左右就只能买这种档次的木头?

虑是啥木头。只要是solid wood，样子喜欢价钱合适，（另外个人不喜欢贴veneer的）
就买了。估计你要再考虑木头那就比较难买了。 |

发帖数: 12697 | 38 HARDWOOD 除了BIRCH 以外, OAK, MAPLE, CHERRY, WALNUT, HICKORY, 甚至RUBBERWOOD
都不大会DENT. SOFTWOOD PINE, FIR, SPRUCE 是很容易DENT, 到了HARDWOOD 这一级,
材料本身的DURABILITY 不是主要的, 主要的是FINISH 是不是DURABLE, 家具破旧都是
FINISH 不行了, 一般家具REFINISH不经济就换新. |
