之所以发到这个版块是因为跟其他版块相比，这个问题似乎跟税关系更近。请问您说的
可以指的是这样是允许的？如果通过这个途径赚到了钱该交的税肯定还是会上报的，只
是我目前不太清楚这个行为本身是不是被允许的。并不涉及签证的问题。

你的这个情况，最主要是留意不要用 standard deduction。
其他像你说的，bank interest，NR 部分不交税，R 的部分交税。
state tax refund 都要交税。

那我这情况file as dual status是要附加一张1040NR表格的吧?
不过现在我已经让他file as non-resident alien.钱是少了,但是起码对.
至于bank interest,因为我现在已经file as non-resident alien,按照你说的是不用
交税.但是他把这部分填到SCHEDULE NEC的industrial royalties去了.所以这个也是错

W2收入就不说了，一切正常，除此之外还收到了一份1042S，是以前学校寄来的，一个
几百刀的收入，income code是10-Industrial royalties，withhold了十几块
请问这个需要报税吗，如果需要报的话是把它和W2的收入相加填到1040的line7里吗，
withhold的钱也是和W2 withold相加填到line64

5个月前我在这发过“弱case求评估”的帖，感谢版上战友们们的鼓励。当时找几家律
师行评估过，结论是很challenging，不想接，推荐上NIW。最后我只好和公司的律师一
