连. 这个router自带firewall,但用户无法设置.现在从LAN连接WAN没有问
题,但当我使用outlook和X Window Server(比如exceed)的时候,出现无法
连通的情况.邮件协议和X协议有什么特殊呢?需要如何设置?

Verizon wireless router with 4 port switch for $10. The max number you can
buy is 3 units. I had to pay $2.26 total tax on 3 units. Came out to $32.

gateway和DNS
是WAN口啊，不是LAN
然后我做了备份 --> bin
我现在忘了web设置的密码，进不去了，看不到当初WAN的设置
我如果reset了，当然可以进去了，但是就彻底丢掉WAN的设置了，也就无法联网. 当然
，可以用备份restore，可以联网，但是由于忘了密码无法修改设置。
管理员不知道跑哪里去了
如何在电脑上通过一些命令，得到router的WAN口设置呢
我tracert了一把
大致输出是：
1 <1 ms 1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.2
2 2 ms <1 ms <1 ms 10.0.2.1
3 2 ms 2 ms 15 ms 10.1.5.6
......
192.168是router LAN口的IP
10.1.x.x应该是管理员设的内网
我试着用10.0.2.1作WAN口IP，10.1.5.6作WAN的default gateway和DNS， 255.0.0.0

实际情况是，网络公司一个帐号只给一个ip。如果用swith串一起上网，就会产生ip地
址冲突。switch的实际作用就是组建一个local局域网。连在一个switch的电脑可以信
息共享。
router的作用是一个network server。分配内部ip给连在router上的电脑。电脑上网的
时候，先经过router，再连到外面的网络 |

因为电信公司只给你一个IP,家用的router有个IP转换过程。假设你家里有三台机器：
192.168.1.2
192.168.1.3
192.168.1.4
电信公司给你的地址是：
10.11.12.13.
你家里的所有192.168.1.x 发出的数据包通过router进入外网后全部换成 10.11.12.13
.但使用不同的端口(port).
比如
192.168.1.2:1234 --> 10.11.12.13:2345
192.168.1.3:1234 --> 10.11.12.13:2346
192.168.1.4:1234 --> 10.11.12.13:2347
外面的回信会回到比如10.11.12.13:2346，router就会传到 192.168.1.3:1234
但是这种设置必须是内部网的主动连接外部。如果外部要连接内部，必须在ｒｏｕｔｅ

设备。问题是大部分人看不懂啊。
其实家用router的Lan network本身就是一个switch.我有一个router被我弄成砖头了
，ＷＡＮ，无线都不起作用了，我就把它当switch用（自用四个lan的端口），一点问

台式机直接连modem，测速是30Mbps+， 通过router是4Mbps左右，打电话给comcast的
人，说我的router需要upgrade
所以求推荐一个适合的，另外看到有的地方说什么DD-WRT,应该怎么弄？

买个可以自己刷 firmware 的比较好。
我家的 router 就是自己刷 firemware 的。哪怕你不自己编译
firmware， 有很多已经可以直接使用的第三方 firmware 要比
原厂的 firemware 好用。毕竟很多厂家也是借用 Linux 的。
我理想的 router 应该具备： Wireless N, Gigabit Switch,
openwrt/ddwrt/tomato ready. |

但现在遇到个问题是， 这个新的router加不了密。 我通过上router的网站加的
wireless security的密码，但再上网络是， 这个密码怎么也上不了网。 试了很多次
了。
不加密码反而能顺利上网。

Router, your router seems to be compatible with all 802.11 protocols, so it
is also not because of incompatible hardware. If the wireless signal from
the router is good, then it is not due to weak signal.

把电脑直接连到modem上，上speedtest.com测速，如果速度低于你购买的带宽的话，给
comcast打电话。如果正常的话，电脑接到router，然后router接modem，再用
speedtest.com测速。如果这个速度低于modem直接出去的速度的话，就是你的router的
