website and in British newspapers alerting people to a ruling that Samsung
Electronics Co. didn’t copy designs for the iPad.

不是谁都有资格谈论“如何赢取诺贝尔奖”这个题目的。2003年,哈佛大学出版社
出版了一本以此为题的书,作者是美国微生物学家J·迈克尔·毕晓普(J. Michael
Bishop),一个诺贝尔奖级的科学家:1989年,他与同事霍罗德·E·瓦尔缪斯(
Harold E. Varmus)因阐明癌症起源的机理而获得诺贝尔生理学或医学奖。
《如何赢取诺贝尔奖》是毕晓普根据2000年在以色列希伯来大学演讲基础上写成。
虽然书名吸引眼球,但主要内容应该是第三章和第四章,即毕晓普从一个微生物学家的
视角,以人类战胜从鼠疫、麻疹、流感、斑疹伤寒、肺结核、百日咳、疟疾到黄热病等
各种疾病的历史为鉴,来表达人类认识癌症、并将最终战胜这一顽症的信心。书的第一

我的意思是那两本书(尤其Doi&Edwards)不但专深,而且如果对于整个Polymer
Physics来讲的话还远远不够。Wunderlich的上下册的结晶对于高分子结晶是一份
非常经典的著作。而对于不做polymer dynamics的人来讲,de Gennes的那本小册
子已经够用来了解polymer dynamics了,而且在很多高分子物理书里都有介绍
Rouse, Zimm, Reptation theories.

Even for flexible, long homo-polymers, the picture is not fully clear.
Reptation model still faces some challenging problems. For very long
chain, de Gennes predicted Stokes-Einstein behavior recovers but nobody
verified yet.
After all, Zimm, Rouse, Reptation and some boundry conditions are the
most successful approach to explain linear monodisperse polymers.

It's interesting, basically you are saying DNA follow Rouse instead Zimm? I
wish I had enough time and could discuss with you intensively and learn sth
for bio guys, but I'd better to disppear in the next two weeks. Otherwise my
boss will be angry. Besides the density, diffusion coeff. will make huge
difference on your result.

block copolymer根据组成比不同会有miscrophase separation。
从sphere结构cylinderical结构到lamellae结构的变化,
再细致观察,在cylindrical与layer结构之间,
有两个复杂的结构,
一个叫做Bicontinuous,
一个叫做perforated layers (HPL)结构。
其中bicontinuous结构又叫double gyro phase,
也因结构复杂被称为“水管工的噩梦”。
大分子如何运动。
通常三种理论:Zimm, Rouse, and Reptation.
在polymer chain 高于一个临界分子量Mc的时候,
粘度的分子量依赖关系由M^1变化到M^3.4.
Mc通常和一个叫做entanglement molecular weight Me的量有关系,
Mc--2~3 Me.
对于不同种类的聚合物,Me不同。
在形容M>Me的聚合物,通常用Reptation理论,
由de Gennes首先提出tube model and snake-like motion,
Doi and Edwards

I think I need to think more..
as to my original problem,
I think my last post is already close to the "answer" (mine).
only at θ temperature can a polymer chain behaves like it is in itself.
The rest, we need to attribute to Rouse-like behavior, which means draining
effect is not negligible as in Zimm behavior in normal good or θ solvents.
In Colby and Rubinstein's new book,
they mentioned different R---M relationship.
for athermal solvent: R--M^(3/5),
Good solvent: R--M

well,
(1)
when we talk about good or θ slovents, we mean we are in dilute limit.
In dilute solution with a Ns=1 (monomer solvent),
only Zimm model is applicable.
(2)
When Ns is no longer monomer solvent,
we need to use a boundary condition Ns^2< or >N(L) to define if this system is
Zimm or Rouse. Here still is dilute solution case.
That boundary condition is just to guarantee the hydrodynamics interaction
and excluded volume effect are screened out.
(3)
when Ns>Ne,
the thing is more complicated.

通常有两个依赖关系,eta--M^1 for unentangled regime after free volume
correction; eta--M^3.4 for entangled.在unentangled区域(即Rouse)没有进行free
volume修正的时候依赖关系会大于1。大家有没有见过指数超过6的报道?多谢。

How a gel only behaves like a fluid in the whole frequency range
in that paper?

, just like in rubber.
You can plasticize the rubber with solvents to form gel to further reduce Tg.
Dynamics only determine what is the kuhn length, but no one can give a clear
definition of the critical DP to be called 'polymer'.
You may define a 'polymer' with DP above entanglment with typical Rouse and
Repetation behavior in G'-T (f) plot.
Or define a 'polymer' with DP above which Tg does not change with Mw.

应该不一样吧.和温度的关系的话,Rouse区和fluid区温度不一样吧,扩散和粘度关系也不
