老汉刚出国的时候，也是很看不起层压板。但其实层压板可以很贵，做得很好，物理属
性超过原木。用来做枪托的，都是高级货，不是咱房子贴外面的那种便宜货。
不过，美国木器也是很混淆，大概故意的。比如他广告上说是rosewood的家具，可能是
只是橡木的，stain成rosewood的色泽。光说laminated rosewood，不能保证是用
rosewood层压的，可能是其它硬木压的，压完后接近rosewood。现在的工程技术吧，能
把软木给你压成黄梨木，丢水里一样沉到底。当然，成本可能不划算了。
说道适用，只要 laminated rosewood比核桃木或者塑料货强，咱就用好了。 |

very pitchy, melaleuca and the heartwood of red cedar. As reported by the
University of Florida, studies conducted in the 1970s found that heartwoods
can be toxic to termites. Other woods that resist termites include Alaskan

发帖数: 7433 | 27 我再来向大家请教一下装地板的事。如果造房中装，2300sqf大小，一级（有5寸，3寸
，工程木，3/8厚度），一共13000，2级（5寸工程木，1/2厚度，3/4厚度实木3寸不到
宽，oak），一共18000多，三级，我估计2万多。我还问了一下巴西rosewood,估计
27000以上。
如果以后我自己找人装，那就现在都是地毯，如果都铺vinyl(以后可以直接装地板）要
加钱3000左右。可能厨房，厕所用vinyl.健商可以把贴脚板提高到我以后实木的高度3/
4高。我问了一下，lowes可能3/4实木（oak)7元左右含人工，我问了LL，另一种
rosewood,3/4实木，全部材料加地板人工2万，不包括移走地毯及可能要动贴脚板。
我纠结的是，现在就弄好，省去很多麻烦，但是选择不是很多，也贵一点，还有就是地
板钱计入房价，要付房产税。以后请人弄，选择多，也便宜一点，可以低的价格选择好
一点的材料，比如地板下面的材料，估计健商可能就给我最基本的，坏处就是折腾。
我是想装3/4实木，一楼深一点颜色rosewood，二楼就是浅色的oak。

买旧房子是费心，可折腾下来什么都是新崭崭的，不比看着半新不旧的闹心。我的厨房
就是拆了败家，看着可惜了我的房子，强忍了两年，好辛苦。今年Town里的评估(
assessed value) 一出来，我家先生就大喊“你这么寒颤的房子也上了七十万，太没有
天理了”于是痛下决心，换！
装修厨房就要断炊，以为可以协调好三个星期搞定，却历时三个月。四处打野食，个中
滋味可想而知，倒让我日日思念起我的小白厨房，后悔拆它干嘛。

去定大理石，本想选这个俗称“金钱斑”的颜色，有着contemporary的大纹路，更自然
些。却被告知此种Slab多Crack，要反复treat三遍才行，International Stone已经不
再做了，质量最好的是Waterfall green。此时我已经溜了三趟了，本着“是新的就好
看”的原则，干脆的交钱定货。

如果你死心塌地要买实木(solid wood)的家具，那只可能买 pine or oak， 大概就是很
古朴的草原小屋的那种风格 （估计你心里想要的肯定不是这种：-）而且价钱廷贵的
基本是这样: Mahogany, Rosewood这种都是产在热带雨林里， 材不可能长到很大， 据说
能长到小腿那末粗就不错了， 所以要想拿这样的原木做柜门板是不可能的。实际上， 珍
惜木材都是用来切veneer， 常见的有rotary, plain, quarter cut, 大致出材辆有高到
低，价格由低到高，不同的cut veneer 的花纹不同， 一般看一个家具价格，看veneer的
花纹和树种就差不多了。 还有一种叫birds' eye cut, 不是每种树都可以用的（好像常
见是Mahogany, Rosewood， 是一种比较贵的花纹

lowes的估价是22700左右（没还价），其中人工是7800，两个楼梯，面积是2400左右，
3/4实木，下面用5.8元的巴西樱桃木，上面用4.30的oak。可以有10%mover coupon,5%
lowes信用卡折扣。可能还能再便宜一点点。
等着Lumber Liquidators来估价。不知道他们可以还多少价。有点喜欢他们的rosewood
与mahogany,木头的价格就要7元左右了。
好在看到lowes估价，领导说了句不贵，说lowes装得快，一天楼上，2天楼下。如果
Lumber Liquidators 谈不下价格，从了lowes也可以。就是他们没有rosewood,可能有
walnut.
也不知到哪里可以弄点Lumber Liquidators 的折扣券。

很方便，在很多城市取过，没有手续费，汇率也不错。
BoA最近一年内一定变过系统 去年夏天设置的6位密码今年回去发现不能用了，用以
前的4位密码可以。
2.刷卡 Discover，Chase Sapphire Preferred, fia amex都没有手续费
discover要提前打电话通知，其他不需要。
并不是所有收银联的地方都能刷Discover,很多地方刷不过去。
从我使用的情况来看刷不过的情况比刷过的情况要多。在几个大超市都刷不过。特意
留意了一下，几个刷不过的超市都是走的农行，建行等四大国有行的系统，刷过的有交
通银行和其他几个民营银行的系统。
总体感觉Discover没那么好用，还是BoA取现是王道。

PRADA这款应该是今年的新款，皮质超好，里外都是牛皮，颜色也很正，原价2550，打
完折1148（不含税）。以前没买过PRADA，不知道这个折扣算不算好。
LV不想再买canvas的了。原本很想买TOP VERNIS 的ALMA PM的大红色，但是店里和网上
都没了。店里说这款居然已经停产了！
于是在VERNIS的大红色ROSEWOOD和暗红色Wilshire MM间徘徊。。
一款是ROSEWOOD。看着挺美貌，但是似乎很不好保养
Wilshire MM ，这款是今年8月份才出的款。可以放笔记本，A4纸，挺方便，就是没有拉链。。。而且我当心我
要真当公文包用，这包还真经不起折腾。。
