我知道我中了Placebo的毒，就像我沉迷于Oasis, Suede, Radiohead, Blur, Pulp一样。
我想每个人都有一种属于他/她的，一听就知道无法抗拒的音乐。而当我十几岁的时候

roseland manage a LOT of properties up and down Hudson river here
and they WOULD surely get a lot of bad reviews. not surprising.

LIVINGSON 还有好几个TOWN HOUSE，新不新不清楚。你也可以看看隔壁ROSELAND的，地

班，有住过apartment,有住人家家里，室友有中国人，老美，也自己一个人住过。
现在考虑买房，预算40万左右。主要用于自住。学区对我目前影响不大，但是估计对房
子保值有影响。
朋友，同事有住Basking ridge的，livingston, summit, millburn，远的还有hoboken
的，和他们讨论了一下，主要有几个建议。
1. 老美同事建议，单身可以考虑hoboken。个人感觉对于hoboken,
优点： 适合无家庭的，活动丰富，热闹。进城玩也方便，将来可能也会好卖点（如
果靠近轻轨，Path）；缺点：房子小，估计40万也就studio或者1bd; 通勤时间长，开
车单程40分钟（ 估计跟大多数人Commute方向相反，不知道堵不堵）；貌似很多地方会
淹水；而且感觉在新泽西里面跑去跟city上班的人抢房子，是不是不明智。
2. 自己去harrison看过几次球，感觉靠近path的房子也不错，但是听说淹过几次了，

最近，圣母大学计算机系终身副教授，博士生导师，并兼任电子系终身副教授史弋宇经
历了一件惊心动魄的事：
12月中下旬的周末，史教授原本计划开车带一家人由芝加哥O’Hare经纽约前往百慕大
的度假旅行，在途中一座加油站停车检查车胎时，遇到了两名持枪劫匪。劫匪抢走了史
教授的钱包和Mazda CX-9汽车，让这次旅行泡汤。
转折的地方在于，史教授利用马自达的手机发动应用程序（Mazda Mobile Start，MMS
），成功定位到车辆的相对位置，并用计算机算法中最直接的greedy approach（贪心
算法），将车辆位置搜寻了出来。最终，在被抢不到24小时，史教授成功把车追回。
连现场的警察都感叹：
“They shouldn’t have messed up with computer science professors!”
被抢：两个劫匪持枪，抢走所有行李！

发帖数: 7 | 36 上周去同一楼层电梯口倒垃圾，关上门后才发现门是反锁的，所以我被锁在了外边，我
是女孩子刚搬到这个公寓暂时一个人住，备用钥匙也锁在办公室，只好找公寓前台开门。
前台说由于这不是office hour（大概7:30pm），需要按照emergency来处理，并收取
100刀的开门费。我穿着睡衣从一栋楼跑到另一栋楼的leasing office，确认是我本人
之后，又签了两张paper，大概意思就是同意管理员取钥匙破门而入blahblah。我跟他
们说了我穿睡衣不想过去lobby签字，他们说没有办法非得本人出面。我等了30多分钟
，真是等的有点毛了，开门的人才磨磨蹭蹭来，说这100刀是必须的，公司管理层规定
，他们也没办法。我急着开门，就说你先开门吧，回头我再找管理员argue。
所住的公寓其实挺大的，有两栋楼，六七百间apartment，管理公司是roseland。我后
来查看了lease，上面有一条的确写了忘记带钥匙被lock out是需要交100刀开门费的。
但是我觉得这个也太霸王了。。。小题大做拿钥匙开门这么昂贵，真是不合理收费啊！！

最高的高楼。都有特大型钢铁企业。Gary 就相当于宝山区。Us steel 相当于宝钢。
Gary 出Michael Jackson.宝山区出乔任梁。然后，汽车往上开，就到了芝加哥著名的
犯罪场所，南芝加哥。相当于上海的杨浦区。南芝加哥有芝加哥大学，IIT,同样的，杨
浦区有复旦和同济。都是犯罪率超级高的地方。假定说浙江人相当于白人，苏北人相当
于黑人，硬盘相当于墨西哥人。那么同样的，南芝加哥类似Burnside, Roseland,黑人
