Bandai, the Japanese toy manufacturer, announces it will sell a pet robot
cat in autumn 2000.
Unlike its predecessor, Aibo the pet dog from Sony, the pet robot cat can
respond to its owner's calls via PC and sense human movement through
infrared beams built into its body.
The cat flinches if a person touches it across the face and stretches if its
hands are tapped while sleeping. |
