dropped more than 80% from the top. Right now at 86, we are still at the top
of the range. Remember oil price as recent as 2008 was in the 30s.
I agree that reasonable oil price need to be around 80 to be balance. But it
always take some dramatic move before settle down. Right now the natural

Thus GLD buys physical gold while USO buys future. In the case of contango,
you lose value over time quickly.
The oversupply of oil is much easier to correct than gold (and natural gas).
I would predict that correction in oil should be much faster than gold as
gold has no physical use.
Shale oil loses productivity about 60-80% in the first year. If CapEX cut 25

strategy for a while. It is very hard for people to change their mindset and
trading pattern. That is why it is very difficult to reverse course.
The only way to change is to have a short squeeze when people start to
believe that the trend has changed. That reversal has happened before
