, It should be vary from case to case. I don't think a person who don't
know you at all, will be willing to write the letter for you. I tried many
times, even those who knew my boss but don't know me won't write the letter
for me. A BT person never write the letter even my boss recommended and he
also agreed. |

package on 04/14. I received the paper receipt on 04/15. I did PP and my
case is pending at TSC now.

right away after e-filing. Of course your package should reach USCIS within 7 days, otherwise your case is dismissed automatically.

before I mailed application materials.
However, in the receipt there is no priority date of my case, only receiving
date. I called the USCIS, and the agent told me that the priority date will
be the date they really work on my case. I made the call in March, and the
agent was very nice. She searched their database, and told me on that day
the cases submitted on August 22 have been reviewed. So, you can calculate

我不是理工专长,我的博士学位的领域是公共政策,我在学术期刊的文章很少,只有6篇(
都是first author,其中四篇我是唯一的作者),Citation也很可怜,只有十来个.提I-140
的时候总共只review过两篇文章.不过我们这行可以说是媒体宠儿,我有十篇左右的媒体
报导,其中还包括纽约时报和华尔街日报,都是直接点名道姓的提到我.我两年前把我的
博士论文改写后由纽约的一家学术性的出版社出版成一本书,是经过peer-review的学术
著作,在这个版上讨论的都是期刊论文的Contribution,都没人讨论出过书要怎么在
petition letter里面提,书没有什麽impact factor, 也不能在ISI或Scopus查citation
,但是我又觉得很不服气,难道一本两三百页的书,还比不上短短几页的文章?
一开始我EMAIL简历给有名的LIU律师评估EB1A的可行性,他说EB1A有可能,但是建议我

important discovery 之类的positive 的言辞，说可以拿来作为supporting
documents放在contribution里面。但是一般reveiwer 都会挖空心思，说几句你的文章
好，然后就变脸说，here is my major comments, 列出1，2， 3， 4的缺点。
那我们怎么哪这个comments作为supporting 材料呢，如果把整个reviewer comments交
上去，IO不是一眼就看到那些reviewer负面的意见了吗 |
