,脑子不清楚, 耳朵感觉也很funny. 不知过两天能好到哪里去... 如果还这样或者
更重, 怎么办? (我不想reschedule, 因为人家已经安排地很好了; 这个也不是flu
, 就是一般感冒, 不发烧)
没办法, 两个孩子总是从幼儿园/托儿所传来不同的感冒菌... |

You can tell him that you have made arrangements to visit a few places in
China and it is hard to reschedule your visit. You can remind him that you'
ve checked with him if you can leave early last year, and you've taken this
into consideration when you arranged your visit to China. He should be able
to accommodate that... |

Back to my Monday case though, none of these would work. I have 6 hours of
things back-to-back and I was rushing from one thing to the next. He agreed
to help in the morning and changed mind on hour before the lab time.
Canceling or rescheduling the lab in the last minute doesn't seem to a good
idea to me. That's like changing an agreement between you and the students.

了，美国签证准备到新加坡签。在英国转机，研究英国签证的时候搞错了，以为不需要
签证。结果到了机场人家不让上飞机。
跟新加坡那边说明了情况，问能不能reschedule。

1. 给分（通常在网上）要拖到最后一刻。比如学校的“死线”是12月19号，千万不要
12月18日 post 上去。
2. 给完分后到圣诞节期间，最好少在办公室出现。就几天，不去没人管。系主任自己
还不知道在哪里呢。
3. 实在躲不开，要跟学生reschedule 见面时间，最好选学生及其不可能来的时间，不
如7-8am。
Bottom line: learn to protect yourself and avoid face-to-face encounter with
students after finals. After the new year, they will tend to absorb the
bad news and forget it. |

我第一次面试时行李箱转机运没了，连换洗衣服都没有，第二天穿着飞机上的便装
面的，结果回来第三天就拿到offer了，因为他们觉得自己地处偏远，我行李丢了
他们也guilty. 面试的每个人都来安慰我，同情指数剧增。

一般不是大牛），40岁出头就正教授了，下面带4个GRAD STUDENTS,都是华人，个人名
声在学校里一般（大概中下，如果不是下的话）。现在感觉有以下几方面出了问题，以
至于我觉得和导师相处出了问题。导师那边我也不知道她怎么想，但是行为表现上让我
感觉不舒服。
1. 导师经常在TEAM MEETING的时候说如果不喜欢就换导师，相当一部分情况下是针对
我说的，这让我觉得也比较郁闷。后来了解情况导师原来带过一个本地白人学生，和她
不合所以换了导师，这个事情对她打击蛮大的。她经常这样说之后我也很无语，本来不
想换导师的到现在有些想换导师了。但是胆子太小不敢换，哈哈。只能上论坛来求助。
2.导师控制欲很强，我的THESIS必须用她的TOPIC。这点我和她交流过，得到的答案是
她在业内时间长，把握准所以我的想法是NAIVE的，应该用她的。一开始做我也比较抵
触，后来慢慢接受了也就用心做了。可是导师还是一直觉得我没有100%用心。

星期五晚上那小孩打电话给我，说想reschedule,没有任何抱歉的意思，直接给我几个
时间让我选，时间全是7/4和7/5两天，并且说他自己很忙，没其他时间。拜托，又不是
我想买你的刀，是你求我帮忙哎，我心里想。所以我不太高兴，说那就约下个周末吧，
因为我们7/4，7/5 两天要出去。他也说ok,我们再约。结果7/5晚上8点多，我们刚回到
家，就有人来按门铃。打开门，一20多岁的中国男孩自我介绍他就是那个推销刀的小孩

警察太有经验，就等在一段很斜的下坡路段，下坡路加上我刚好想超一辆truck，什么
时候上了81迈根本就没注意，结果警察灯一闪，三下五除二，给我开了张合计$182的
ticket:其中还分五类明细： fine$64.50, EMS $10,Surcharge$60,costs$37.50,JCP/
ATJ$10, 除了Fine可以理解之外，其他EMS,surcharge等等是怎么回事呢？乱收费？
虽然单子上明白写着，允许速度65迈，我的速度81迈，警察还特意和我强调我的超速已
经被recorded了，可还是有点小不服气，自己开车一向守规则，但是高速的确不经常开
，更不用说宾州一直上坡下坡的高速了；另外那警察太会蹲点了，找了个大斜坡，似乎
专门抓人的；刚好有辆大卡车，bad timing,并行不安全，所以还加速避免和它并行（
马后炮检讨：应该减速避开的嘛），
所以，想Plea not Guilty, 这样的话，我看罚单上小字写的是我要把下面剪开填好，
