偶随后来写问题青年Johnny Cash。。 他的歌偶是很后来才接触的，然后听回去的。
偶慢慢来写这个叛逆青年。。。
早先听johnny cash的时候，偶说，这是乡村歌手。 和摇滚没啥沾边的。
但是当他快死的时候 唱了NIN的hurt，让偶有点吃惊于他的坦诚和深度演绎。
这是一个听众的评价，比偶能写的好：

发帖数: 22800 | 3 第一次接触REM是他们那种最不成功的唱片monster，后来有回头听了他们早期的作品。
直到Around the Sun和Accelerate时，偶已经对他们的新歌没啥兴趣了。在偶眼里，他
们已经衰落，没有死亡是因为要履行和唱片公司的协议，解散是早晚的事了。
歌曲风格在偶看来是要有它的目的，要反映作曲者的想法。而REM主唱 Michael Stipe
似乎从来不缺思想。
一首"What's the Frequency, Kenneth?"从穿越者的角度只言片语的写出了新新一代的
不可理喻。
当然REM也可以细腻到写出At My Most Beautiful 这样细节上让人心酸而美丽的歌曲。
当年看完金凯利演的man on the moon，听了rem的同名歌曲，仔细读了歌词，佩服他们
的精心布局，这么多历史事件巧合阴谋全融合在一起给Andy Kaufman致敬。
REM在偶心里一直没有衰落，只是死去了。。。 |

发帖数: 399 | 4 恩,REM跟brit pop是不一样,可是在美国,跟REM相近的乐队实在是屈指可数,他们跟英国乐
队相似的地方,就是都很看重歌词,不是那么看重乐器中的演奏技巧(表面意义上的那种),
但又比Grunge要内敛,重旋律.美国的主流乐队,吉它手必然来那么几下飞快的失真Solo,歌
手必须喊那么几个高音.也许是我个人口味的原因吧,不很喜欢这种音乐,当然了,美国的Bl
ues/Root的乐队还是不错的.
对了,你说REM跟纽约CBGB是不是有点联系,我记得Mike
stipe说他受影响最大的音乐家是Patti Smith和Velvet underground.

发帖数: 2 | 5 呵呵，REM的巡回去吗？（我不是卖票的，一有我喜欢的乐队巡回我就瞎激动而已，
而且总想依靠六度关联理论间接参与这些票卖得贵得要死的演出。。。我已经如此
间接参与了Radiohead和崔健两人三场演出了，希望等到REM的时候也能掺和掺和。）
REM，这几年一直不停地听。。。在车里听，在电视上听，在音箱里听，在笔记本
上里，睡的时候听，醒着的时候听，开车的时候听，伤心的时候听，喝醉的时候听，
他们的音乐总是越听越快乐的。
今天晚上还看了一篇老新闻，想起一个不相干的乐队。。。大家一起来缅怀一下吧：

发帖数: 399 | 8 REM和Smashing都是美国的乐队,但跟他们风格接近的大部分还是在英国/爱尔兰, the
smiths, U2,radiohead, suede, pulp, verve, teenage fanclub等有一大帮,smashing好
象主要是受英国的华丽摇滚的影响,加了些美国特有的grunge什么的,混在了一块儿.至于R
EM,美国的Alternative/College Rock,他们的音乐重在思想性上,而这一向是英国乐队的
特长.对了,跟REM同时期的美国乐队,比如pixies, pavement, 稍晚点的yo la tengo,
live, Beck等也算风格接近的乐队.

even monster album might be one marketing failure for REM, I like it a lot a
lot.what's the frequency, kenneth? and king of comedy, hoho.. pure
classical!
the album I dislike most is leaving the new york.. totally, disguesting,
went to the router of catering audiance commercially making money.
in this new accelerater, u could see a slight sigh of REM returning to "
monster" style, dig deeper with strong heavier bass line.

我非常落伍的今年上半年刚在电台听到他们90年代热门HIT losing my religion，从此
一发不可收的大爱此团。
这首新歌是他们解散后据说未发型的三首单曲中的第一首，我觉得好像力道不足，欠了
点什么的感觉。 |

发帖数: 8648 | 25 他们进入mainstream的好像是everybody hurts，有段时间MTV把这首歌的mv都放烂了，
但觉得这首歌不眨地，属于越听越烦那种。automatic for the people那张专辑里面最
好听的觉得是New Orleans Instrumental No. 1和nightswimming，很奇怪的音乐。那
张专辑好像乐评界给的整体评价是他们最高的吧。但我仍然觉得他们的第一张专辑
murmur是他们最好的一张专辑，很糙的糙米的感觉，有嚼头，Radio Free Europe一上
来就很劲道，整张专辑没有退烧，perfect circle，好歌呀。
rem后面几张专辑不太行了，人员有变动，stipe单飞事多，反正精气神没了。 |

i love that band. but they are more of a folk/rock band, i don't think
they are really close to the brit pop/rock. smashing pumpkins probably
is more like an alternative band.
LIVE was a great band too, and they are heavier. i bought all their
CDs through the years, but last two were really disappointing |

REM的现场比唱片loud一些，演了不少around the sun里头的，
最喜欢leaving new york。 还有不少以前的，有名的losing my religion,
Man on the moon, drive, bad day, imitation of life,
what's the frequency, nightswimming... 还有些不怎么熟的，
灯光和舞台布置很好，调音也不错，vocal的声音很真实，完全没有混在音乐里。
鼓的音色也好。 |

this around. Normally I pay between .29-.33 per round for plinking ammo,
but this is coming in around .25 if bought by the case! It has not been
this cheap for a long time. This is steal cased, but unless you reload, it
