刚买的,VISTA,但是没给REINSTALLATION DISC...
是不是在正式使用前,要用USB PEN做个启动盘啊? |

reinstall windows xp
disable firewall & virus (You don't have to worry about those if you always
install trusted software.)
Firewall would probably add about 0.5 sec network latency, while anti-virus
software is usually the cause of slowness occasionally.
Install chrome browser (much faster and cleaner).
Open "msconfig" and disable useless startup entries.
My windows xp runs blazing fast on celeron laptop with 1.5G memory. |

P4 + AGP
I recently upgraded it with a HD2600 APG 512MB video card, which is the most
affordable AGP card supporting the hardware decoding. It has no problem
watching all of 1080p video downloaded from internet including blue-ray .
And CPU utilization is only 40-50%. But you will need a software supporting
hardware decoding. I use Bao Feng Ying Yin 2009.
One more thing, I reinstalled XP on this old computer with only the software

install).No USB port is working now.
Checked the device manager, there is no USB port or drivers there.
Motherboard is Foxconn G9657MA-8KS2H. Installed XP sp3, the original
motherboard drivers CD and Chipset drivers from Intel.com. Using Everest,
there is no USB device too.
Any idea?

and reinstall it again.
You can try something like this
Burn a Ubuntu or OpenSuse live CD and boot with it. Mostly your system can
run in a high resolution mode without install the special drivers. If it
works fine, that means it is not a problem of the power. |

，电脑老是回到黑屏显示“boot manager is missing",我也想用这个系统盘试着
repair一下，但这个系统盘运行不了。
用得好好的，没任何前兆。会不会因为升级了那个旗舰版，但旗舰版用了一个月，不该

microsoft work,一个是 dell application already installed on your computer,
最后就是启动盘了， operation system already installed on your computer

work either.
seems to be the video card is dead because i can hear some unstable noise
from the video card when computer is on. shall I go ahead buy another video

BIOS里设了RAID，系统不认呀，而且直接蓝屏。

I noticed that the driver was named iaStorV.sys, so I did a search for it
and found it already installed in theWindows\System32\Drivers folder. I did
a registry search for it and found it inHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\
CurrentControlSet\Services\iaStorV. This made me happy!
