得州的大，只有一個字可以形容，那就是“大”！得州有山、有草原及海灘。得州人最驕
傲的不只是那世界以名的辣椒醬 tobasco，也是這裡出產的特別毒的蜘蛛、蠍子和響尾蛇
。在這個充滿西班牙及墨西哥文化的地方，幾乎到處都看得到受到墨西哥文化影響的藝術

沿Gulf of Mexico coast，从北到南的barrier island是重要的bird migration的休息
站。
开车要加油，鸟飞累了就得靠这些重要的栖息地来休息补给。每年春天无数地
neotropical brids穿过墨西哥湾飞到内陆，于是这些岛就是它们的重要栖息地。冬天
Texas又是很多鸟过冬的地方。
Texas共17个national wildlife refuge(NWR)。沿着Texas 的海岸线就有8个。这些地
方是观鸟的好地方，也是biking, fishing的好去处。有些NWR还可以看到鳄鱼，如果没
去过Florida看过鳄鱼的可以到这些地方看看，不过主要还是鸟类。
著名的濒临灭绝的whooping crane，就在aransas NWR，离corpus christi很近。
人说叶公好龙，我是叶公好鸟，刚刚开始学习，认得的还非常少，比认花之类的难多了。
首先就得买个好望远镜才能看清，然后还得有耐心找鸟，而且没等你看清就飞了。
从大个的shorebird开始是最好的，至少能 |

泰国餐没什么鉴赏能力，是好是坏不太清楚，不过他们的thai tea那是非常非常绝的！
