oxidant activity because they are fully oxidized. Biologically,
tocotrienols are way stronger redox modulating molecules than tocopherols.
Go google Edison pharmaceutical and their compounds, it looks like work in
human. However, I can tell you the mechanism(s) and molecular targets are
unknown. |

这些invitrogen卖的probe，我们都研究过，而且我也和invitrogen R&D联系过，
invitrogen他们承认他们的probe都不能在live cell里面定量，所以对我们的probe很
感兴趣。
我先讲一下为什么commercially available的probe不能很好的在live cell里面定量：
1.现在卖的所有的GSH或者thiol probe都是基于不可逆反应的，例如monochlorobimane
。一般按照invitrogen的protocol，加10-20 uM的probe和GSH反应，反应后，产物发出
荧光signal。这里的主要challenge是GSH的浓度非常高，一般是1-10 mM。如果是uM的
probe和mM的GSH反应，如果给足够的反应时间的话，不论你是1 mM GSH，还是10 mM
GSH，所有的probe都会被consume掉，所以得到同样的荧光output。
2. one can argue，如果GSH和probe反应足够慢的话，低浓度的GSH反应就会更慢，高

的话可以引用一两个涉及氧气还原机理的文章。另外近期准备投一篇JACS Article。涉
及一氧化氮（NO）的还原，氮循环或者生物方面关于NO作为signaling,immune之类的文
章也可以引。另外还有一个关于涉及电催化，以及redox flow电池方向的合作项目也在
准备发文章。
我的方向是bio-inspired inorganic chemistry。去年刚发了2篇一作JACS，引用很低
。今年还有几篇后续的。一篇已经写好了，也准备投JACS。希望能找到可以互相帮助相
