前天这台client正常。 昨天早上来
发现很多窗口没了，说swap有问题，于是Reboot, 在
Mounting NFS filesystems 打住了，
抱错说: NFS portmap: Port Mapper failure
- RPC: Timed out
并不断重试抱错。
以为是server的问题，于是就去Reboot, 抱同样
的错 （这个server好象本身也设置成了一个client,
所以也mount)，用ctrl+c跳过后能正常使用，
用PC 或 unix client mechine （跳过mount) 也可以
romote login。 但是就是unix文件共享有问题，
请问是什么问题，该怎么办？？ 谢谢 |

。
如果启动后SC2000无法加载，而且第一个系统也无法加载，
try:用SC2000 Utility Disk 启动，运行scin.exe, 加载Sc2000. Then
reboot. You can see the SC2000 interface. Your system should be in the
menu.
If not, you can try boot from A (if you can't boot from C),then find
the file scout.exe in the dir of SC2000. Run it to disable sc2000.
Reboot.

network adapter, after run winnt /b and reboot, NT 4.0 will
stop while it's in 50 lines mode (in NT2k, this screen is replaced
by a picture). If unplug the apdater, NT4.0 will pass happily.
After NT 4.0 copies files and reboot, plug in the adapter again,
NT 4.0 now can pass 50 lines mode, and continue graphical setup.

cache? We saw this once, we rebooted the PC that needs to flush out IP cache
then everything is fine thereafter.
Probably there are better ways to do that? |

You need to reboot other pcs that will ping XYZ. Win2k sometimes caches
DNS/DHCP settings locally. Make sure you also reboot your DNS/DHCP server if
they are different from your PDC.
btw, have you updated your DNS/DHCP table on your DNS/DHCP server to reflect
the changes? It looks like your DNS/DHCP table is still pointing to the old IP
address?

there could be a good chance there are bad sectors in boot section.
1. try to boot into safemode, and disable the automatic restart, try to reboot
the machine, see what happens.
2. if you can't boot into safe mode. you may have a failed hard drive. connect
the hard drive to another computer, try to recover your data and install a
new hd.
3. if you think 1 or 2 doesn't apply to your situation. take it to your it

and you may try rebooting your box, check the "task manager" (process explorer
preferred) and delete any run32dll.exe you see, if any, see if that solves
the problem (only before your next reboot). If the run32dll revived, or
deleting run32dll can solve the problem for the moment, you can pretty much be
sure its a 3721 embed. Getting rid of that is another story, but at least you
know where to start |

you get a new IP address. For cable HSI, you have static IP no matter
whether you reboot or not. Those file sharing websites usually track
downloading by using IP addresses. |

所以想把一个40gb的笔记本硬盘通过usb挂到dockstar上
先是把文件从笔记本硬盘拷到另外一张硬盘上
拷了一个上午。。。
disable WAN on router, connect dockstar to router, find IP address of
dockstar, ssh to dockstar
登录后执行
killall hbwd
mount -o remount,rw /
chmod go+w /dev/null
cat "killadd hbwd" >> /etc/init.d/rcS
mount -o remount,ro /
/sbin/reboot
一切正常
connect hd to dockstar through usb
执行/sbin/fdisk /dev/sda
重新partition笔记本硬盘
保存partition table
确认一下
/sbin/fdisk -l /dev/sda
问题来了，提示device is not available

that users try to install X86 version with UEFI enabled in the bios. X86
does not support UEFI so you would have to configure the machine for Legacy
boot to install X86 versions of Windows. If you do try to install X86
version setup will run but on the 1st reboot you will get BIOS error similar
