The way he hit Adam Lind tonight is just inexcusable. True, Adam Lind hit th
ree homeruns in a game Red Sox can clinch, and it is disappointing for those
Socks. But Lind ran the bases, did not show up the pitcher. He just had a g
reat day. It is pointless to throw a first pitch fastball into the ribs.
I feel sorry for Lind that Jay's manager did not order a retaliation in the
9th inning. Dustin Pedroia was a good candidate, so was Victor Martinez, esp
