标 题: 《征文》Rainier 登山与徒步 （1）

今年西雅图之旅主要目的是LD要爬Mt Rainier. Rainier是雪山需要用到alpine
climbing技术。我们并没有太多登山经验，只有雇向导带跟队走。8月天气最好是登山
的旺季，但太暖和山上的雪可能都变成冰了不一定好走。原计划赶在美国国庆期间少用
假期。3月开始找向导公司，Mt Rainier NP官网上有3家大的向导公司RMI，IMG,Alpine
Ascents International。后来在山上听人说也有小公司，说了个名字没记住。好像大
公司的队是4向导8客户。小公司是2向导4客户。有人直接找向导最后也是跟在大公司的
队里。入门路线是Muir disappointment cleaver route。惊讶的发现已经全部爆满。

这里的饮食非常有名，尽管比不上中华美食，但在西餐系列中也算别具一格。一般我们
老中舍不得银子吃大餐，但尝尝生蚝小龙虾，或者找个能负担得起的地方腐败一下，也
算不虚此行。
Bourbon St上的特点是“醉”和“疯”，酒吧和舞女表演很多。如果能enjoy这些，就
来对地方了。来看一看就知道为什么大型比赛喜欢在这里举行。输赢双方都可以尽情疯
狂，不会被警察抓（但不允许全裸和开枪）。

提到游行，现在因为不是狂欢节Mardi Gras，规模较小。推荐有时间去参观一下制作游

It is pretty stout to sleep outdoors during Canadian winter. Even Canadians
don't usually do that. Rampart Creek Hostel is pretty close to Weeping
Wall and Polar Circus. I stayed at Canmore clubhouse most of the times.
BTW, I reckon the photo right below the photo of Weeping Wall is likely "
Polar Circus", not "solar circus". And the name of one of the routes you
did is likely "Bubble Wrap Blues".

发帖数: 878 | 8 7/15加国落基山游记-第五天：Icefields Parkway冰原大道
早上起来收拾帐篷东西，又是拖到快11点才checkout出发。今天的任务就是走冰原大道
，走走停停，根据时间多少决定每个地方的停留时间。
冰原大道的一路上大概停留了这么一些地方：
Crowfoot Glacier VP （View Point）
Bow Lake VP
Bow Summit and Peyto Lake VP
Snowbird Glacier VP
Mistaya Canyon
Rampart Creek Camping by North Saskatchewan River
这儿附近有一个冚汖的树林子，转到湖边以后有个停车场。看见湖面豁然开朗，风景特
别优美，还可以租kayak划，下回要在这里住他一晚上。

Bridal Veil Falls VP
Parker Ridge
这里有一个很好的trail，爬到山脊以后，可以看见硕大的Saskatchewan冰川

Although this is hard to admit, but the current administration is already
doing pretty well because their corruption, while running rampart, hasn't
jeopardized national/economic growth (at least when compared with similarly
situated countries - i.e. india, brazil, etc), which is all you can ask for

"under the willow tree and other stories"'s my bedtime book in the past few
days, will finish soon. haha, a word i encounter so often in andersen's (so
called fair-tale) stories -- to my surprise -- is "strange". to his main
character, many times, the land's strange, and the people are strange. and
all the stories, with very few exceptions, end in the death of the main-
character, in a sweet tone.

I drove to Atlantic City; Like always I look around into the fields aside,
wishing to have somebody else drive so i can be released to dedicately watch.
Some parts of the roads are shadowed&cooled in woods, 3D creamy clouds
floating above head -- Moments like this you'll tend to think the Nature has
feelings, for the much gentleness and (unconscious) beauty it exhibits.
...A pretty sand castle is there with a shell on each rampart,i imagine
parents with a kid built this in the morning. I sit |
