The word radonnée is a French word for tour, trip, or excursion. The term
"ski de radonnée" refers to a ski trip or ski tour in which either
"Telemark", "AT" (Alpine Touring), or special X/C Skis with metal edges are
used to travel in the back Country. The Radonnée term could be applied to
any of these skis if they meet the strength, durability, and ski-a

If you use "True" lightweight Telemark equipment, the only advantage over
Radonnée (OR AT gear as it is also known as) is the lighter weight factor.
All of the new Radonnée (AT) bindings are quite durable but there was a
past
problem with the "locking mechanism" which switched you from Touring to
Downhill mode on many of the bindings. It would wear out and som

Most skis today are generally quite similar and designed on what we call the
“Shaped ski” design to provide for faster responses in turning and
