crap should have been compensated by 3 10's. and it's a darn good paso
compared to waht we've seen from other contestants despite the fact that she
lost her balance a couple of times. my biggest problem with the paso is
that the tempo was too crazy and the choreography left absolute no breezing
space.

O.K. Did I say "my dance clips"? Oops, i meant, the dance clips I taped. I
wish that were me :) This is what i taped from my very first competition -
the standard dances performed by two teachers; first clip is tango and
second is quicksteps. I was planing to post this with a title "to dancedance

is, for Tango and Foxtrot, which has a basic two measure phrasing, you
breath in at count 7, and breath out the rest count. For Waltz, breath in at
5, and breath out rest of the counts. Quickstep is more complex, normally
only need to breath in once every four measure, and need to adjust that with
individual choreography. The video also mention that sometimes you need to

like you, it is so easy to dance stand or smooth for me, compared to latin (
sure there's more tech to learn). I guess one reason is standard dances
generally are slower; even for quicksteps, which is faster, you actually don
't move your body that much as in latin; you hold your posture and just try
to move your feet faster. on the other hand, latin dances are faster and you
move almost every part of your body except yo |

The funny thing is that, before I moved to where I am right now (1.75 hrs
from Indy), I was driving 4 hrs to take lessons in Indy with Roselander...
and now that I am only 1.75 hrs away, I stopped.
My right foot is still not fully recovered yet, and would probably never
fully recover (injuried from quickstep)
anyways, let me know when you are going to Indy again, I might go down for a
party or so. =) |

enough to cast some votes so i dialed for danny a couple of dozen times just
to make sure i could see him in the final. now that i've watched the clips
online, i really wish i had voted for pasha. danny is probably safe anyway
but pasha really needed the vote and his quickstep more than earned it! i
haven't seen every ballroom piece on both DWTS and SYSTYCD, but as far as i
could tell, that was the best. given how badly big n |

this sabrina gal is pretty good. i was curious to see how well she could
handle a standard dance and she did a pretty nice quickstep. she's by far my
favorite.

Waltz fallaway revere slip pivot listed two optional timings: 123&, or 1,2&3
Foxtrot fallaway reverse listed several optional timings:
SQQS,SQQ&,SQ&Q,S&QQ,QQQQ
But there is no variation in timings as for waltz chasse or quick open
reverse. As far as I know, the majority of syllabus dancers still dance
chasse as 12&3. Then is SSQQ for quick open reverse allowed in closed
syllabus? Sorry for being such a bookworm. :P |

six quick run malgamation, no matter how fast we run, it's still very
difficult to do. Even at that time. we did the SQQS timing for the quick
open reverse.
Your explanation just enlightened me, that we should add a reverse pivot
after quick open reverse to follow into six quick run.
But anyway, we already changed it to four quick run and it worked quite good. |

best syllabus amalgamation you could do with 6 quick run:
hover corte
6 quick run
it has speed contrast. after a slow, shapy hover corte,
with a semi-hop slow then 6 quick running steps. it
can look like open steps, very dynamic.
