now i'd add, yes, banks behave differently in different states
for cc, queensland and NT charge extra fees
for westpac, some account don't supply cards except Victoria
maybe bendigo bank is best in your case, but bendigo only open branches in
victoria and/or cities in other states |

么样。
现在我也是post-doc,UQ的project和我的research很有关。可是我是从外国去澳大利亚
，所以比较难做决定。如果去了，两年合同只能自己申请PR,老婆工作还不好找，很有
可能就是家庭主妇了。要是PR申请不顺利生孩子也成了问题。两难啊！

However, I think you should be optimistic.
2 year contract normally comes with renewal to another 2 years.
Jane seems very professinal and got lots of funding so you have good chance
of renew your contract.
If you have work experience and PhD, you should be able to immigrate easily.
There are also bunch of Chinese faculties in ITEE UQ,
you will get help from them.
UQ is also one of head uni in Australia, very good reputation.
As to your wife, she will get used to n |

should know UQ has/had many pioneers in DB and SE, you can say top in the
world
we do not know how OZ research atmosphere will go, but in the past, it's
much less competitive than SIN and HK
if you can find a permanent position from your 2 year UQ experience, that's
nice, so your wife is also PhD? |

如果已经在国外工作过,运气好的话也能找到工作做
澳大利亚现在就缺人,报纸上无数工作职位等人申请
政府几年来一直宣传为爸爸生一个,为妈妈生一个,为国家生一个
生得越多政府津贴越多
childcare很贵,所以妈妈在家全职带宝宝也很好
博士后这个级别的工资,一个人养四五个小孩也够了
妈妈去工作,税后实际收入增加也就买个LV包不心疼,一年去次新西兰或者婓济住四星级
不寒酸,或者到巴厘岛花钱如流水眼眨都不眨,没有本质改善
中国人晚上不去酒吧,就在家生孩子,等宝宝们长大了,比鬼佬那些喝完酒生下来的都聪明
上的都是牛校,考试都是99.95,都是律师,牙医这样的工作,那时候中国也是超级大国了
我们这些做父母的就是世界上最幸福的人了 |

房子有好多种
价钱也有很多等
建议不要担心太多
我发现博士们(我自己也是)就喜欢把什么都打听好了计划好了到时候一蹴而就
其实根据我的长期经验
那些都没有用
车到山前很可能没路
但船到桥头总能直
澳大利亚人口少
但服务业非常完善
所以没什么要担心的
现在先考虑offer,visa等事情 |

业，高考成绩不太好，所以想寻求出国读书。他们碰到一个朋友，据说是在澳洲和中国
间做生意，给他们介绍了一个去澳大利亚读书的方案。
这个人说可以帮助亲戚的小孩申请签证，去澳洲的TAFE系统里面的某个学校半工半读，
两年内干满900小时，然后申请移民，同时想申请到Queensland University读书。这样
可以一边读书一边等绿卡。
我想问问各位这个方案是否可行？中间会有什么陷阱和问题？我能想到的问题有：
1)去读TAFE的签证是否能申请到？那个人说可以帮忙，这可能么？我能想到的只能是做
做担保而已吧。
2)TAFE系统里面的学校选择面有多大？承诺的半工半读能否实现？能找到工作么？
3)上完TAFE系统里面的学校，申请大学的时候，是否可以正常留在澳大利亚？身份上会
有什么障碍吗？
或者各位能推荐一个稍微客观些的介绍性的网站么？我已经怕看国内的中介网站了，正
在看政府的网站，看能不能有些想法。

国人就不能开
但国际性质的银行诸如hsbc, citibank也许会简单些
所有银行都可以网络操作
你可以去nab.com.au,commbank.com.au, anz.com.au和westpac.com.au看看,所谓四大
银行
