起和visitor谈谈。
先说明一下我做的这个项目：这个项目是和系里另外一个组合作的。那个组的PI找我们做计算的人，帮他做一个计算的程序，目前的prototype已经做好了。
老板和这个visitor认识，说是她的朋友。几个月前我刚开始做这个项目的时候，老板
就向我和那个PI推荐这个visitor的一个software，当时那个PI没回信，后来我和PI开
会的时候问到，他说既然我们自己现在做的prototype已经出结果了，就先focus自己的
方法继续做。其实之前和那个visitor的software相似的方法我们也试过一个，结果不
好放弃了。
今天在和visitor的会上，老板让我把这个项目大概说说，我就说了一遍。老板让我把
那个PI新找到的共性信息也给这个visitor看，我很犹豫，但是当着两个人的面，实在
没法拒绝，就给visitor看了。visitor 说这个问题绝对可以用她的software，老板就
和我说：你开完会就把数据都发给visitor。我当时说：我们是不是应该问问PI先？老

说实话，如果不是教授/研究员水平，很难看得懂理论基础
也就是小圈子了
2。 算法/系统设计需要高超的技巧
可以看懂，但是从理论到实现prototype仍需要高水平的研究开发人员+大量工时
3. 工程实现
从prototype到商用产品，类似于微软的windows，需专业团队多年的开发
这就是美国为什么不禁止他的高精尖研究人员发表学术论文
只是单纯的export control软件成品的出口
因为就算论文给IRC，找个教授看懂，研究生实现，攻城狮完善
最少5年搭进去了，人家早就开发出更先进的新一代系统/算法了 |

要的，不过重点还是在于
prototyping，比front engineer的编程要简单，因为prototyping不需要那么严谨，除
了html javascript还可以用其他

然后再iterate开发，因为没有prototype，需求都是扯淡，客户也不知道要什么，开发
者也不知道在扯什么。
当然这可能和公司风格或者是组的风格有关系。

额，希望有至少一个senior。要有一定的data mining, machine learning和
statistical modeling的背景，Shell和Perl/Python coding，至少精通一门
programming language吧。SQL比较熟，较好的data manipulation和data integration
的经验。了解big data和distributed computing。
公司可能不愿意等太久，所以希望能尽快入职。H1-B没问题。目前投简历的绝大部分都

python确实很适合prototype，我以前经常在python写个小程序，验证算法了再rewrite

的programming language刷。个人感觉面试做题其实不完全是你写的code能不能
compile，能不能过所有的testcase，面试是一个跟人交流的过程，对方是在考虑这个
candidate是不是能跟自己，还有自己的team合作。一个什么都不问，听完题目， 甚至
题目都没有听完就开始敲code，或者在白板上开写的candidate绝对不是一个好的
candidate。一个好的面试过程应该是能让对方知道你的thinking process，你写code
的习惯，还有你跟teammate沟通的能力。有人说只要我写出bugfree对方能不让我过么
，这个还真不一定。一个是很难背熟150题，另外一个是如果面试官认真准备过他的题
，总能找到一些办法让你做一些extension。

修改了几次，最后的版本比prototype当然更通用得多。公司review后说是可以进入下
一轮视频面试，面试者包括developer team和managers。
有经验的能否指点下，这是否是最后一轮不用onsite了? 他们会侧重问technical还是
behavior问题呢？
另外，是否应该要求code review的具体意见，比如：哪些代码写得不好，需要改进？
这样的要求会不会太冒失，毕竟还没有成为team中的一员。新手求教，先谢过了。 |
