To some degree it's a gamble. Even the best doctor cannot guarantee for a
specific case -- when the success rate is 99%, one may still end up as the
other 1%.
Generally, surgery may provide a chance of curing, but it's hard on the body
. When it fails it really reduces the patient's quality of life. Or the
patient and family can give up curing and focus on prolonging and making the
best of his/her remaining life. |

二来也不知道化疗有没有效果，--缩小了就是有效果啊，但是固体瘤子化疗都是辅助，
想根除除非切了，但是你妈妈已经肝转移了。。。
三来即使去掉现有肿瘤，不知还有没有， 如果下次再发现，难道马上做第三次手术?--
在发现，根据肿瘤大小，做判断。可能继续化疗，然后根据身体情况/病人对生活的目

If the cancer cell has specific mutation, there are erlotinib/gefitinib and
crizotinib that are targted therapy. Only if your relative has those
specific mutation. Those meds are expensive and only prolong survival. There
is no cure for stage IV lung cancer. 5 year survival is only 1-2%

depression的症状，其实和depression是不一样的机制。心理治疗只对一小部分日常功
能严重受损的哀伤人士有帮助，但大部分人是不需要的，可以经过自己一段时间的调节
，恢复
常态。如果一年以上还有相关的症状，严重影响生活（这有具体的标准，最新DSM-V诊
断手册对于这个诊断仍有保留，长达三四页，正常与异常确实是相对的），心理咨询师
、治疗师可能会考虑给这个诊断。需要的情况下，也会转介到精神医生那边开抗抑郁药
物改善症状（抗抑郁药物确实有巨大的market，滥用是another story），药物治标不
治本是公认的，想有根本的改变还是需要结合对症的心理治疗，比如一个咨询师没有用
，不能否定全体专业人士，可以换换其他的。及时求助是好的。
