Wow, car repair is getting expensive!
But, your immediate problem is only the water pump. If DIY, you prob can
get a secondary market waterpump, a new gasket and a new thermstat for 50-60
bucks Then you just spend your labor and the problem is solved. However you
need someone to teach you how replace a waterpump. For an experienced guy,
it should take less than 2 hrs. |

Is there any piratical issue if I just leave the crack as it is?
Can I fix this prob by myself? My only concern is the crack,can I use some
patch or something? The overall looking comes only second.

guess 裂缝 has not 穿透金属, but the 金属 has a 裂缝 |
