去年11月去电影院看大片《林肯》，发现一个怪现象，里面有很多段落台词，美国人笑
的前仰后合，我尽管也看懂听懂了，但完全不知道哪里好笑。当时想到，肯定是对很多
背景故事、典故不了解导致的（比如美国人看《建国大业》王宝强说“前面有个地主大
院攻不下来”估计也笑不出来）。上周末下载了字幕版仔细的看了一遍，对这部电影清
晰了很多。
首先列举一下电影中出现的围绕废奴问题的几个派别和代表人物
1. 坚决反对废奴派：George Pendleton议员和Fernando Wood议员。他们是国会民主党
领袖。其中Fernando Wood出身是纽约大资本家，主要想的是和南方做生意，打仗对他

国家（sovereign state）对属地/“下位国”/地方政府是如何管理的。所有“上位”
的主权国家都需要保证对属地的控制，所以，主权国家与地方政府关系就是授予权力的
关系，并且通常会做出权衡取舍（trade-off）。简单地说，就是如果给了你某些权力
，那么就要收回另一些权力，不可能什么权力都给你。如果都给你，就对你无法实施控
制了，你就会成为实际上独立或半独立的政治体。

It has been 8 months since the terrorist attacks on our facilities in
Benghazi, Libya, attacks that ended up killing four Americans including our
ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens. Still we haven’t had a concrete
explanation about this incident and new State Department spokesperson Jen
Psaki didn’t do anything to alleviate that state of affairs as reporters

the prices on their website are just ads, or invitation to treat.the buzz
number is what they then made as an offer via email. you did not accept it
in reasonable time. So the offer has just lapsed. you both can walk away. I
believe if you later find prices in the comparable hotels are going way below this one. you will evade it too. and nobody can charge you anything for
not showing, because there is nothing in privy b/t you and this busin |
