problem of some non-domestic students (not all, obviously).
they need to understand that you are paying (half of the money in the form
of ra) for their salary, tuition, etc, and they have the obligation to do
the work you assigned them for 10 hours a week. This is really a sign of

1.人家妹妹结婚如果哥哥跟嫂嫂不出席,肯定要烙下话柄.结婚可是一辈子一次的大事.
你回国休息可以年年有,如果嫂嫂在这个节骨眼上不给力,将来妯娌关系和婆媳关系都有
隐患.除非你觉得老公一辈子"替你出头",要不然为这点钱这点时间给自己将来的婚姻买
下隐患还是很不值当的.所以我觉得你不应该一开始就当刺头媳妇.
2.人家闪婚是不是也就是盯紧了你们回国的时间?如果你家这么看重你们出席,你不给人
家这个脸面,回到第一个话题.脸面都是互给的.特别是长期的幸福婚姻.
3.你可能觉得人家迷信,但是迷信的人就是迷信.你觉得那些狗屁日子没什么道理,但是

retirement account has this 59.5 year thing attached to it. Roth basis can
be withdrawn at any time, so it is more flexible. Investment choice more as
well.
However, unless you 403b only has really awful choices, tax advantaged
account should still be prioritized before going for taxable. |

I think the advantage of getting a smaller house is when you move up, it
could become an investment property for you. If I were you, I will
prioritize this over others. I won't recommend you buying stocks or funds
at this time, given your situation.
After that, as you accumulate more money, start investing in stocks, using
the knowledge you have gained from reading the books. |

1) 根据你描述，你的房子大概价格为$280K+$260K=$540K，先把$280K的mortgage做个R
efinance，5/1 or 7/1 ARM都是可行的。
a) 比如5/1 ARM 3.25%，mortgage $280K，每月连本带利就是$1219。相比30Y Fixe
d的利率一般会低点，这样一来每月还款压力小点，而且你现在单身但5年后说不定会有
变化，房子到时候说不定会进行交易。我之前也在NoVA靠近DC短住过，单身8万多的收入
应该可以过得不错了~

判一番。然后俺就灰溜溜地埋头用功，诚恳地承认自己的东东上不了台面。也感谢这样
的“文化大革命”，最后的version为俺在未毕业以前就找到了“婆家”。以下是俺的
些许心得，希望对朋友们有用。个人情况也要具体分析，不一定适合所有人。
1.申请工作的job description一定仔细通读，resume的突破口就从列出的条条款款直
接针对性地下手。把自己和这个工作相关的经历成就list出来，再prioritize.
2.Industry的工作，通常不要超过两页到两页半（graduate students)。最先列出的（
姓名联系方式之后），应当是和你申请工作最息息相关的Strength。Bullet points，
简明扼要，一下抓住雇主眼神。然后可以是你的Professional Experience或者
Education。描述你的Professional Experience或者Research Experience时，不能只
列个时间地点，必须要用一两句话简洁概括你在这个project里担任什么职 |
