the current real estate is being fueled by extremely low supply and high
demand. By the time stock plunges, supply may have gone up. So it depends on
all timing of all these factors and how they play out. And interest rate

5月24日，美国国务院以签证为由，要求孔子学院中国教师限期离境,引起全美数十家孔子学院，以及和孔子学院合作的大学，一片哗然。
把这两件事情连系起来，不难看出，中国利用孔子学院向全球传播文化和语言，被西方一些右翼分子，当成是中国政府宣传软实力的工具。
作为英方的孔子学院院长，我对这个问题，也是感到非常困惑和震惊。
为什么，中国政府诚心诚意地花钱推广中国的文化和语言，会遇到如此想不到的打击和阻碍？中国政府应该如何对付这样的打击？如何应对今后更加意想不到的困难？
本人认为，中国政府应该做好如下工作：
其一，保持冷静的态度，认真研究对方各种持不同观点和态度的人群，采取有效措施，争取亲华力量，尽量化解冷战思维人士的冷战态度。
