首先声明我是在商学院，虽然不是top school，也算研究型大学，tenure主要看top
journal publication，教学烂的话可能会有负面影响，不过教得再好在tenure过程中
也没用。我今年五月拿到的tenure，过程非常曲折坎坷，幸好系里一直百分之百支持，
又恰逢学院换了Dean，最后还是拿到了。我要说的是同院另一个系的女faculty，她是
东欧人，top journal publication数量在他们系是非常不错的，比好几个full
professor还多，人也挺pleasant的，英语很好，教学很不错，本来我觉得拿到tenure
应该完全没问题。结果前几天来找我诉苦。他们系apt committee开会，有两个人不同

鴻海集團美國飛鷹計畫，首場人才招募活動13日開跑，首批徵才規模上千人，前往應聘
的美國人如果會說中文，將會優先錄取。
騰訊新聞報導，鴻海在美國建立的液晶面板廠坐落於美國威斯康辛州的樂山（Mount
Pleasant），鴻海將在未來幾個月之內，在這裡舉行5場招工大會。
求職者必須提前登陸鴻海網站提交材料，只有獲得面試資格的人，才能前往招工大會進
行接下來的其他程序。
會說中文將成為美國人應聘的優勢，至少有十個職位的描述到，中文能力雖然不是必需
，但是是一個加分技能。
這次招工規模不小，光是第一場在樂山的招工大會上，富士康就將面試2千多人，值得
注意的是，這是鴻海首次在美國的大規模招工，這次招聘的職位涉及專業職能和管理工
作。

特别感兴趣。大片《Gravity》由著名影星：桑德拉.布洛克和乔治.克鲁尼主演，人气

AMC电影院门口人头攒动，有不少都是来看Gravity的。话说这AMC电影院现在也是中资
公司了。在快做满的影院里面好不容易找到个位子坐下来，电影就开始了。
说实话这个电影和以往好莱坞的套路都差不多，反映的是个人英雄事迹。但我还是感到
Pleasantly surprised的，主要是电影里的中国元素。如果关心时事的人都记得中国在
2007年曾经做过一次反卫星导弹试验，用陆基导弹击毁了一颗地球轨道上老旧的中国卫
星。当时这个事情惹得美国非常的不满，不管是政府还是媒体都对中国大加鞭挞，认为
击毁卫星的碎片威胁到世界太空资产的安全。
这个电影就是以此为背景的，美国的科学家们正在航天飞机外修复哈勃望远镜，无数被
导弹击毁的碎片飞来，导致科学家们死伤殆尽，航天飞机损毁，只剩下女科学家Ryan。

I just wanted to report back to you about the meeting in New York today
between GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump and Christian leaders from
across the country.
Franklin Graham prayed to open the event. Dr. Ben Carson spoke and told us
about the Donald Trump he had come to appreciate. Gov. Mike Huckabee served
