电路，例如以前用fuse，现在用circuit breaker，这个就是一笔钱。现在高级的网线
都埋在墙里，那也是bonus。
墙壁，以前用plaster & lath，现在用dry wall，现在改也是一大笔钱。以前用wall
paper和lead paint，现在用latex paint，这又是一笔钱。
窗户，以前用木头的single pane，现在是vinyl/fiberglass的double pane
取暖，以前用oil加窗式空调，后来用gas吹冷暖气，现在都有地暖和加热地板了，这又
是技术的改进。
总之新房的好处不是划时代的，而是与时俱进的。 |

家里40年旧的游泳池想翻新一下，准备replaster和retile，quote了几个pool plaster
company，价格都没差多少，但是因为听说加了quartz的会耐用一些，所以也问了
upgrade到quartz的价格，可是各个公司用的都不太一样：

主要是不太喜欢原来的颜色，以为两周就能搞定
结果拆这步就耗了一个月，加上有小孩，噪音问题，晚上也不能干，周末最多干一天，
结果花了3个月才搞定
快 2“厚的 plaster wall, 后面带metal mesh, 锯齿一碰就断，上diamond的，也不行
。 上大锤，房顶感觉在晃，不敢继续。 决定光把tile撬下，留墙。这是个非常痛苦的
决定。如果再来一次，无论如何墙带瓷砖应该推掉
敲字太慢，直接上图
瓷砖lowes买的，如果标有floor的，不滑
觉得如果材料都知道的话，8hrs/day,3周能搞定。 总费用大概2000左右 |

木头的钻头碰到 plaster 里面的沙子那样的东西是
特别毁的。只能怪你不爱惜工具。即使不用冲击钻，
也有专门用在 drywall 上的钻头。
其实我觉得冲击钻也不贵，可以不用冲击当马力特别大的
钻头用。是那种充电的电钻很好的补充。充电的特别不经用。
比较费一点的项目一个电池不够用。我上次装solar cover
wheel 要在铝的杆子上钻很多洞挂钩子。老是要停下等。 |

排名第三的彼得堡的state hermitage museum，拍过电影russian ark，就记得金碧辉
煌，没看到什么画……
排第15的Yale Center for British Art我也常觉得比英国的画廊都好……小而精致，
各个时期和画家的代表作收集得很精，介绍也很精，看完印象很深。建筑也很宽敞明亮
，令人愉快，不过太亮是不是对画不好。
有个Doha的Museum of Islamic Art。希望有机会去。
台北故宫上榜，北京故宫没上，倒是北京的789工厂榜上有名。说最近有一个Duchamp
and/or/in China的展览，到六月中截止。听着挺有趣，不知道goldy去看过没。
第50名是波士顿的museum of bad art，听着很好玩，有人去过吗？
Times另外还评选了世界50 museums，我没Times帐号，看不到全文（这篇50 galleries
是其他报纸转载的），谁有帐号的能不能分享一下？谢谢！

大英博物馆的罗马大柱子没有v&a的两根plaster模仿的柱子大。v&a我觉得收藏品很民
间化，生动有趣的东西多，大英博物馆是黄钟大吕，正儿八经。比如你那个rosetta，
又不好看，只有搞希腊拉丁文的人才喜欢……素问不知道那是太正常了，知道就不正常
了……
大英博物馆我喜欢看那些希腊雕塑，大理石的衣服雕刻得像飘起来一样。希腊的各个时
期、各个地区的雕塑还都不同，我以前还能背得出时期，什么hellenic period，现在
背不出来了。

是这样的，这个面具不是clay做的，我先用plaster bandage做了脸的模子，外面粘上
报纸定型。如果不做动物的脸就这样做装饰就够了。但是我要做动物的脸，就用
celluclay做了些高高低低的面部变化。celluclay是废报纸为原材料做的，很轻，我们
平时说的要烧的clay很沉，戴头上吃不消的哈哈。
我买了grommet kits，就是有时候会在包包和服装上会见到的那种金属圈效果的东西，
是打算用它穿绳子，但是现在不是很确定能不能用在这上面，很怕一打洞整个坏掉。我
现在想不如用glu gun沾个布条上去，但是怕力量不够无法支撑面具。
你是说spray paint就有水性油性两种是吧，那我就买个油性的也行。其实我最早是想
用布包上去，而且已经去一个爱做手工的朋友家要了个块大黑布。但是昨天看到现在的
效果，想也许喷上去更简单所以才有了用spray paint的想法。
