问题在于，小公司做PHY的风险太大，而大公司把大量工作都outsource了。

新毕业的学生，万恶的wireless背景，在一家小公司上班，从事硬件设计的工作，主要
就是用simulink设计一些通信元件，和以前学的几乎没有关系了，但是感觉工作也挺有
意思的。最近和华为有些联系，可能有机会加入，继续从事wireless PHY方面的工作（
做仿真，做标准，发paper....）。
留下的好处就是跳出wireless，获得设计实际产品的经验，老了好保住饭碗（也很难说
）。留下的坏处，公司太小，说不定哪天就不行了。这个市场很小，大公司看不上，所
以公司现在还发展的不错。但是感觉自己和同事的差距太大了，他们都是DSP的科班出
身，要赶上他们太难了。以后要是失业了，还在这行找工作的话，自己背景的缺陷就很
致命了。还有以前读书的时候积累的一些人脉，现在因为改行都失去了，觉得挺可惜的。
去华为的好处，工作容易上手，看华为的劲头，估计较长时间内也不会关门的。但是对 |

如果申请PHY/MAC的system engineer，当然需要好好准备:
简单随机过程，概率，signal processing(FT,DTFT,FFT,功率谱，频谱变换，频域信号
分析)，以及简单的detection，包括ml,MMSE,MAP,Zero Forcing, matched filter，还
有简单状态机等等，以及准备一些小的puzzle，以前精华区都有。
如果是networking的职位，好好准备计算机网络，TCP-reno阿,AIMD,routing,
scheduling等等，以及很多灵活应用的知识。反正都需要平时的积累。
software的话不知道，估计也面一些编程吧。

球。。。当然对别的技能是有加成的哦
其他主要技能是，
算法逻辑设计与IP集成评估:
设计的要求基本要看得懂算法文档做实现，定点化和一些数学基础。特定模块的集成要
求一般有相应知识背景，遇到问题能够debug进去。
SoC逻辑设计与IP集成评估:
总线，DMA，或者一些挂在总线上的内部设备
接口模块逻辑设计与IP集成评估:
DDR,HDMI，Tunner,AFE,一些非数字信号或者Phy的接口,通常都会从I2C入手，不要光盯
着逻辑哦，也可以看看上拉电阻的阻值是怎么算的么,这块上板调试的时间会比coding
时间长的多。。。
Chip Level模块设计:
这个基本每颗芯片都是独特的，也是关键的，涉及到clock gen, pad 复用,power

湾区的Q家确实有LTE的system组我很肯定，不是atheros。Q和B两边的工作内容大致上
是相似的，PHY/MAC。这些positions是Phd preferred，我也有点担心去了Q会被鄙视，
或者做一些边边角角的工作？这个也许要问一下，可是也未必问的清楚。。。
B的好处是我知道做的是核心，而且整个system组不大，老板对我也算是苦口婆心，很
照顾。可是当初找工作的时候，Q的这个职位是列在dream offer的位置了，感性上很想
去，所以比较来比较去就格外纠结。说起来挺矫情，可是最近很烦，一点也没有当初拿
到offer的兴奋了。 |

SDR更多是mac以上了。你说说SDR里有啥PHY layer的技术是新的吧。前几年PHYlayer的
那帮人在做啥interference alignment, compressed sensing, relay（关于信息论的
），已经networking information theory.真不知道那些bound咋个就能马上成工业标
准了。 |

这么说吧，搞无线的PHY的顶级paper大概是这个顺序 Trans on Information theory >
TCom > TSignalProcessing>TWireless
所以Distributed MIMO也就在后面几个杂志上出现了，现在不知道还有没有人搞了 |
