I usually enjoyed talking to and being friends with Chinese and Koreans who
went to HS and college and who maintained their own culture and spoke little
-moderate English (most in college were just foreign students who would
return to China). They were real and interesting and fun to talk to. Western
culture is bad enough for white people. It is corrupting. In my experience
Asians who spoke perfect English and adopted “western” culture seemed
unpleasant, arrogant and slimy.
