The Graduate: Why Should Everyone Else Pay for Other People’s Dumb (and

January 2, 2012 - 8:10 am - by Barry Rubin
I’ve recently made the acquaintance of a young man who has a problem. He is
28 years old; smart, of good moral character, and willing to work hard at
part-time jobs. He does not expect anyone else, including the government, to
support him. Yet he is puzzled and increasingly bitter that he cannot make

I have to say, I am getting a bit sick and tired of this nonsensical lament

Stop it right now, America. The fact is that we’ve never really had a poor

Why Would God Send Good People to Hell?
I’ve been blogging this week on the existence and nature of Hell and,
unsurprisingly, I’ve received tremendous response from Christians and non-
Christians alike (much of it hostile). The topic polarizes believers and

of permanent justice, while others prefer to believe God would annihilate
rebellious souls rather than assign them to Hell eternally. Non-believers

Question: "Does God killing people make Him a murderer?"
Answer: The Old Testament records God killing multitudes of people, and
some people want to believe this makes Him a murderer. The misconception
that “killing” and “murder” are synonymous is partially based on the
King James mistranslation of the sixth commandment, which reads, “Thou
shalt not kill” (Exodus 20:13). However, the word kill is a translation of
the Hebrew word ratsach, which nearly always refers to intentional killing

From the 2016 FBI crime statistics:
There were 15,070 murder victims. 73% of these deaths involved firearms (
mostly handguns). That makes about 11,000 people killed by guns for the

them?
Richards takes a stab at the answer in a few ways. First, he implies that
there's an element of groupthink in Hedgistan, with investors all chasing
increasingly complex hedge-fund strategies beca... 阅读全帖

that you don't like American government or discuss the problems that the
American government or American people are facing, I wouldn't expect they
will take it that offensively. I did that many times and most of the time
they agree with me on all the topics. If they don't agree, they will explain
to me what they think using facts and knowledge they know, all depending
