收到NVC的信，里面有一个document cover letter. However, it is not entirely
clear which documents about petitioner (me) and which about immigrant visa
applicant (parents). Below are my understanding and want to check with DaNiu
to confirm:

2. Financial Documents:
a. Affidavit of support (petitioner)
b. IRS Tax transcript (petitioner)
c. Federal Income Tax returns (petitioner)
d. Form W2 (petitioner)

如果12月初前公司revoke H1B以后，新公司在12月中才transfer，会不会就失败了？然
后导致需要重新peition(i.e. 我铁定得回国重签了)
个人不是很想回国重签，现在签证各种check |

背景：本人PD在10年底，在8月底时突然遭client的layoff.因为是在一家consulting公
司，所以老板还是继续用我的vacation hour帮我撑到现在找工作。自己在9月初就找到
一家大公司A，并拿到offer准备transfer H1B,可惜大概是人事部效率底下，一直拖到9
月底才开始有律师联系。不料十月初政府shutdown,一直拖到10月底才刚刚把peition交
上去。现在就在等receipt.
而现在的consulting公司突然告诉我有一家clientB要人，抱着试试看态度我也就去面
试了，client对我感觉不错，所以现在挺犹豫。
1. A的OFFER不错，整体benefit很好，但是需要等半年到一年办绿卡，而且工作的部门
属于advance engineer,是只管烧钱的部门，如果碰到downtime，估计会拿它开刀。但
是已经答应了，而且拖了老板那么久，很伤人品~
2. B的工作我还是通过现有的consuling公司去工作，直到拿到绿卡，他说会帮我转正
。但是整体薪水和benefit估计比公司A少15K，不过不需要担心办绿卡... 阅读全帖 |

documantation ready

被editor采纳，从而证明自己review工作的质量。
有一种情况是我推荐major revision required，结果那篇我review的文章到现在也没
有发表出来，是不是就说明editor把这篇文章据掉了。在这种情况下，是不是就不能提
自己的recommendation被editor采纳了啊？

填 pp的表格，然后附上1000 dollars的check，把这些和你的140申请材料（peition
letter，推荐信 ....)都放到一个信封里边。邮寄出去就ok了。邮寄地址pp加急的form
的intruction pdf里边有。
然后等15天就出结果了。 |

name填到了middle name那一栏。
另外，过往peition的解释（批准的NIW)也忘记了附上，尽管在申请材料里NIW的批准证明已经有了。
请有经验的前辈出个主意，这种情况怎么办？

有一些比较具体的问题向版上诸位请教一下。
1. 曾经拿到过两个小的federal grants,不知道是否可以用来放在contribution里来
说明contribution, 不知道大家如果有grant的话怎么放？
2. 我的专业是social science,paper数不多，而且都是最近几年的，所以citation也
不是很高，本专业的conference几乎都没有proceeding paper,都是poster或者
presentation, 但有一些top conference还是比较selective的，不知道这种情况
是congerence presentation是彻底不说，还是可以稍微说一下来claim authorship.
3. 看好多人除了petition letter之外还有cover letter, 但我的感觉peition letter
已经有cover letter的味道了，大家往cover letter里放什么呢？

律师就套模板，把别人的模板往每个人身上都套。
我们的律师，没有干过任何事，除了帮你改改推荐信。
peition letter里什么都claim，不管强弱。
所以搞的我们什么材料都给律师去收集。最后发现也没啥用处。交了无数钱，干了无数
活，受够了。
还是本版的牛牛们给的意见好。

9月9号收到RFE
12月1号交了RFE
12月9号收到批准通知
我以前还有PERM 140。
看了PERM 140和NIW140，看不出啥区别。都写的是Indiv w/Adv Deg or Exceptional
Ability in the National Interes。唯一区别是peitioner不一样，PERM的对应公司，
NIW的对应我的名字。
还有一个发现，NIW 140自动把PD日期改成了PERM140的日期。

1。 我只打印了主页（总共3页），列出每一篇文章（13篇），和每一篇对应的
citation数目和总数。IO会不会觉得证据不充分？
2。大家有把每一篇的citation的文章的author和title都打印出来吗？
3。google scholar上列的是总的citation数目（约600），我有50个左右的self－
citation，律师说一律列出independent citation（约550）。这样petition letter上
的数目 （550）与googlar scholar （600）上显示的不一致。这样会招来RFE吗？
4。最后一个关于petition letter的问题。看版上大家的 peition letter都很短（4－
10页），我的petition letter有30页，会招来麻烦吗？
非常感谢大家帮助。下周一准备投了，最后再努力一下。不管结果如何，一定上来叙述

I was told that Chinese cannot apply for waiver unless staying in J1 for one
year.
Is it different for other countries?
It seems like a policy of a home country's consulate, because J1 has to get
no objection from the consulate.
