Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within
5 seconds.
2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for
approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking. (here is where i think you
can get a code from this.)

刹车pedal不是很tight，就是脚踏上去后加一点点小力，刹车变紧了，然后再加大力，
刹车pedal开始往下压，起到刹车左右。
车熄火后，用手去碰刹车pedal，发现刹车pedal却有一点点小松动。所以每次刹车先要
踩一点点，让刹车变得紧了，然后在踩下去，才真正有了刹车效果。
这个本来设计是这样还是这辆车的缺陷？
我以前开的车，刹车pedal一点都不松，脚稍微一接触发力，就刹下来了。

is different: If you press the pedal quickly, you feel the resistence. If
your pedal stays in a position, you can feel the pressure goes away, even
though the position is very deep. In other words, the resistence is about
the speed of pressing the pedal.

platform pedal with toe clips and toe straps。这样既不会像wuyan同学说的那样
下坡踩空，又可以适应road cycling。
我一般天天都commute by hybrid bike,可是还是觉得至少要骑个几百mile才能适应
road bike。当然我是属于超级没天分那种。如果一上来就让我上锁鞋，我恐怕今天就
不会在这里回帖了。。。
BTW，我当时买车的时候也不带pedal，店里装的时候直接给上了一对platform pedal with toe

担心的是:
1。SIZE， 我5'9，骑54的车。OWNER也是5'9，不知是否太小他才买的，不知你
的身高，所以一定要试一下再买。
2。 没有PEDAL。要看一下是否是CRANKARM装PEDAL的丝被损坏了，因为用扳手上PEDAL时
很容易把丝拧花。上PEDAL应该先用手拧，着样外力不大，等上的差不多了，再用扳
手。

我不是很懂车,不过从我看到的信息是VIN 是J开头的用的是DENSO的pedal, 这一款是没
有在recall list上, CTS gas pedal在美国生产, 出现问题的electronic gas pedal是
CTS生产的. 至于有人挑toyota其他毛病出来说那我就不敢argue什么了, 不过我开
toyota 7年了, 我自己个人觉得很reliable. 很多人说欧洲车更reliable, 我也同意,
不过我朋友买的欧洲车也照样出毛病, 更何况修起来还特贵. 我觉得买车确实要多方面
考虑, 安全, 性能, 价格, 实用性等等, 很多时候就是仁者见仁, 智者见智了.呵呵

了个铁块, 防止摩擦过大导致sticky的情况出现, 应该最好的解决方式是换一个新
pedal, 不过似乎新的pedal和CTS的不兼容, 所以才有这个铁块的出现.

the transmission still in gear?

When you press both brake pedal and the acceleration pedal, the car is ready

gas bubbles within any boiling fluid. Gas is compressible so boiling brake
fluid leads to a “soft” brake pedal with long travel. In extreme cases
overheated brake fluid necessitates “pumping the brake pedal” in order to
get a pedal at all. |
