发帖数: 1199 | 6 重新划区的建议基本已经通过，今天（周一）下去4点（实际是3：30）是最后一次机会去反对。Park Village的居民也是在最近才知道此事，大家正在相互转告。估计将有相当多的人今天下午会出席听证会，试图改变这个决定。强烈建议那里的居民去参加支持。请大家转发给相关的朋友和同事。
这件事中有很强的政治斗争色彩，跟学区短时间没有任何关系，“理论上”长时间跟学区也没有任何关系。学区和投票区从来就是两个完全独立的系统。但是对某些周边的公园，活动，小区建设什么的还是有些关系的。跟房子的价格很可能会有影响。

上周末才从迈阿密回来，很累。不过还是趁着新鲜写点东西，希望对准备去Miami,

我相信每个人由于性格和爱好的差异肯定会对不同旅游景点有自己的看法，但是由于在

行之前有些朋友告诉我们Miami/Everglades NP/Key West/Dry Tortugas那里没什么好玩
的，所以我觉得有必要从我的角度先给整个旅程一个总体的评价。LP和我都是比较喜欢

Dear Parking Ticket Geek,
I received a ticket in a spot in Lincoln Park that I have parked in at least
30 times with no problem. It is on the end of a block, near a crosswalk,
without a sign restricting parking.
But the ticket says it’s for "Parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk."
If this is really true, it would eliminate thousands of spots that

上集回顾：朋友自己的错，在downtown不小心趴了commerical loading zone，pay了两
块趴车费，出来发现中奖勒，$250 ticket!
朋友无奈，准备在网上交，被我制止了。一个parking ticket 比我闯红灯还贵，太冤
枉，我都看不过去。其实不厚道的说，是觉得偶来美国还没上法庭的经历，简历上似乎
很苍白。于是想借此机会跟过过堂，长点儿经验值，纯属私心。
昨夜夜观天象，今天是个好日子。早上爬起来，果然艳阳高照，预示着什么。下午陪朋
友去court，朋友觉得自己英语不行，给她的几个理由她怕说不囫囵。
呵呵，去之前朋友说要不要穿破点，博得法官同情，被我否决了。这个世界，穷人并不
会得到惠顾。再说ticket不是装穷就能赖掉，而是要以理服人，虽然是你的错，但你错
的有理！去的目的不是显穷，而是讲理。在court附近接朋友，还是让我很震惊，打扮
得比面试还正规。她战战兢兢的说，法官不会看到我这身，立马要我去付钱吧。我说即

酝酿很久的Hershey Park之旅终于成行。
我们一共三个大妈，七个孩子，三家人，两辆车热热闹闹昨天八点不到就从石家庄出发
经270一路向北再转15号公路直奔Hershey Park。
去的路上天色阴暗，不是飘点小雨，就这点小雨也在孩子们的歌声中“rain,rain, go
away, coming again another day”也消失啦。等我们10点到达时艳阳高照。
一行中的越南妈妈身经百战于Hershey Park，她的攻略是早上天气凉快，人少先玩各种
Rides，中午去Hershey Park的巧克力工厂参观，凉快，吃午饭，顺便去停车场取下在
Water Park要用的毛巾与游泳衣。下午到晚上玩水上Rides，在6点Water Park关了之后

Way 上，其它两辆就停在自家里门口的Street上，然后对面住了一家印度人，N多人，
一共6辆车（其中5辆是Truck， 1辆Sedan), 他家自然Drive Way 上和门口的Street
parking 都停满了车， 然后那家女人就把车停到我们家门的Street parking 上了。
其实停也没关系，但是，那个八婆把车偏偏停在两个parking 中间，那么本来可以停两
辆车的，就变成只能停一辆车，而且每天这样，我们没办法就只能把车又停到斜对面别
人的门口的Street parking 上，不到两天，邻居就不开心了。 然后，我昨天下班回家
刚好见到那位印度八婆，车子又是停到了中间，我就跟她说, 你的车经常Park在中间，
能不能把车子Move 前一点，那样我的车可以Park 进来。
结果那位印度八婆像发了镖一样，直接对着我就骂，说这里是Public area, 她喜欢
Park那里就那里，凭什么让她Move~ 我就跟她说，这是我家的Space， 属于我自己的

家庭，母女屋或是可以变成母女屋的一家庭，价格不超过75万， 离曼哈顿中城90分钟
以内door to door的commuting。由于老人不能开车，需要在走路范围内有进城的火车
、公车、和大超市。又由于我们又没手艺又没时间，所以房屋不能太破，move in
condition最好， 学区要求主要是primary school要好，高中好当然更理想，不过宝宝
还小，十年之后的事计划赶不上变化，所以不强求。我们看房主要集中在长岛和皇后区
，倒不是不喜欢上州或jersey. 只是宝宝太小，上州和jersey太远，范围又大，没有精
力。
在长岛看过房子的人都知道，最适合华人居住的地方无非几个：bayside, little neck
, great neck, port Washington, Manhasset，Douglaston。我们一开始也不能免俗，
前半年看的都是这个地区的房子，结果一无所获。这里酸葡萄一下，这几个地区房屋老
， 房间小，价格贵。 因为我们要的是母女屋，所以还有出租问题，中国人往往喜欢最

转半天看到一个pa位，
一排的头一个，
我右靠到pa位正前面，
准备倒车。
嘿，
一女司机，
好像是老美，
直接插到我后面，
我也没法倒车，
她也没法进来。
我一下没搞明白，
她这是干啥呀。
回头看她，
也看不清她要干啥。
难道她不知道我要park这儿？
或者她车头挤进去，出不来了？
等了十几秒，
我只好往前挪了挪。
看看她能不能开出去。
嘿。
她到不客气，
弄吧弄吧就park进那个park位了。
（好象是一大奔的suv）。
这是头一回碰到这种事。
她不可能不知道我要park车呀。
怎么还有这样抢park位的呀。
接着又在附近转圈，
好几分钟以后，
终于又看见一个park位，
这次要倒趴，
打了右转灯，
开到趴位左前，
准备倒进去。
嘿，
又是一女的，
好象是老黑，
紧贴我屁股后面，
停下来了。
搞得我没法倒车。
我回头看她，
意思您能不能倒一点，
我要park车呢。
她装看不见，
不理我。
这下我有点气了，
反正就一个lane,
我就在那呆着，
我也不走了，
僵持了30秒，
后面有人按喇叭，
那女的终于从我左边绕过去了，
后面一个哥们等了我会儿，

圣诞时候想去big bend national park转转，大概看了一下，有几个问题：
（1）里面的lodge订不到了，请问外面住哪里比较好？有没有推荐的地方。（之前会从
Carlsbad, NM 过去，晚上到公园外面；之后走的那天早上开去el paso， TX。）
（2）只想开车转转，走走短的trail的话，有什么推荐吗？看了一下，有一条scenic
drive，似乎basin也值得去，还有其他paved road值得开吗？(只是普通的车)short
trail有什么推荐吗？似乎window view可以看日落？这样小转一下的话，一整天够吗？
还是要两天？路线怎么计划好呢 （怎样从外面开进去，然后转出去）？
（3）然后顺便问一下，有没有什么推荐的吃饭的地方？

parking lot只有15-17个趴车位供多日趴车吗？平时容易找到空位置吗？虽然只会趴五
