发帖数: 16223 | 19 毛毛雨也忍了。我那次开场天气还挺好的，后来rain delay了两个多小时，因为已经
sox大比分领先第八个inning了，很多人就走了。我们后来是在home dugout后面看得
papelbon的第九个inning，也算补偿了一下。汗。
不过很郁闷的一次是去年看lester对marlins，第六还是第七个inning雨越来越大之后
就cancel比赛了。。。。看运气阿 |

发帖数: 13923 | 25 这是第一次看NL队（国联）的比赛，而且是在这样一个特殊的日子，开心之外颇有收获。
一直以来都是看AL(美联 )的队，去过LA，Oakland, 西雅图和波士顿等地看比赛，喜欢
程度依次为波士顿红袜，西雅图水手，洛杉矶的天使再到奥克兰的运动家。波士顿队里
的队员，无论是投手，击球员还是接手，差不多每一个我都喜欢。34号BigPapi就不用
说了，那是大家都喜爱的HR杀手。而那个进队没有几年的Jacoby，跑垒时的忘我奔命速
度真可与水手队的Ichiro有一比！ 尤其他是从我们州去的，fan的程度自然会带有更多
主观色彩。☺ 还要提一下，那个”closer” 投手Papelbon，觉得他与水手队的
J.J Putz也不相上下，最喜欢看那最后的精彩。
本来是想去西雅图看水手和红袜比赛的，但学校开始放假和父亲节的“crazy”(机场人
员语)，大早的航班就都满员，不想错过中午1点的开赛和保证当日回来，就选飞了凤凰
城，去看芝加哥白袜和亚利桑那响尾蛇的比赛。红袜没得看就看白袜吧，反正也没去过
亚利桑那，两全其美一下。

红雀第一局5:0，早早锁定最终8:0搞定。
勇士祭出仅剩一只靠谱先发Hudson，守完6局3:1领先。

对红袜的好处有若干: 一是省下急需的薪金空间搞SP,二是还有充足的时间看RP市场,三是Paps去了NL,四是draft pick. |

Bard as the closer probably till 2013, depends on his 2012 status.
Herth Bell风险太大,也不便宜.

但是现在好象它也在跟Michael Cuddyer和Grady Sizemore在谈...

coming off the payroll. And now Madson. Lidge and Oswalt were
bought out. Cost for that close to 4 mil.
However, Cliff Lee will have a hefty raise (his contract was
designed in such a way that in his first year he was paid only
11 million dollars. In 2012 it will jump to over 20 million.
Cole Hamels is arbitration eligible. Chances are he will demand
over 15 million. Hunter Pence, too. This team still needs to
sign a shortstop.

with closers, but it's definitely true that most closers don't deserve
such big contracts. What's the problem of Cuddyer? I think he's
a cheaper option than Ramirez.

caliber team, and outspent Gillick by millions. Still this team
is farther and farther away from the title. Luck plays a role,
but it does not account for all.
Phillies have a very rare window to win another title. I really
hope that Halladay could win one as a Phillie. He is clearly
the best pitcher in his generation. I hope when he retires, he
has at least one ring. |

average starters. for a starter, 30 is just the start of his
prime. it is rare to have a guy like papelbon who has so many
years of closing experience at such a young age.
madson presents a minimal risk. I agree with you. His skillset
translates very well towards the future. and believe or not,
he was the second best reliever in the last five or six years
stats wise. the best is of coz mariano rivera. that is probably

through 10. What's the point of pulling him off? Give him one
more inning. He is a better option than any other reliever whose
last name is not Papelbon.
The decision of PH Thome was also questionable. With a runner on
3 and less than 2 outs, he needed somebody who can put the ball
in play. No disrespect for Thome, who is great, this was not the
time for a 2 run home run. It was time for a one-out grounder to

Daniel Bard is a modern cautionary tale of the pressures and fatigue the
modern game imposes on its players. Or maybe he's just a guy who had a
problem and it happened to manifest in the most public of arenas. Maybe with
some time and the proper coaching he can still be The Guy who gets The Guy
out with the game on the line. But for now, he'd probably settle for
throwing a strike.
