synthetic好，wax是不是也是synthetic好？这些chemical除了repel water之外，到底

要是将就，就用touch up paint 涂涂就好，只是要稍微注意一下手法，尽量一笔到底
，切忌在油漆未干以前就补。等漆干了，再抛光一把，猛打眼一看不太容易露馅。不过
稍微细看就能看出来。
要是追求完美效果，就得找body shop了。起码500+。
我比你惨，同样kona blue的野马，不过是V6 PONY，被人hit and run。不仅有划伤，
而且 quarter panel 还被撞凹了。保险杠也有划伤。问了4、5家body shop开价都是
1000。唉，认栽了。不过我的划伤没你的车严重，用touchup paint一涂了事。乍一看
还行，凑到近处细看就挺明显的，好在kona blue本身是不那么明显的颜色。等天气暖
和了再抛光，不知道用不用补一道清漆，就怕弄巧成拙。 |

发帖数: 379 | 5 几个月以前粗心大意停车蹭到过栏杆，bumper有一些中等程度细长条状划痕，分布在大
约半个手掌的面积，另有两个点状痕迹相对较深摸起来粗糙不平可能需要补漆。本来因
为旧车半保就算了，不过现在看了板上和youtube上补救的措施看起来也不是太难，虽
说第一次手艺肯定不行，不过反正也旧车加上在bumper上，弄残了也不致太心疼。
现在问题是：
1. 轻的划痕是否只需sand & polish？（洗车的时候看不出来）paint手艺要求比较高
我想能不弄就不弄
2. 有什么paint推荐？车的color code是32P，比较深的灰色
3. 像3M的scratch remover有什么作用？和sand & polish的过程有何区别？

No required. But if the new paint color is much different the old one, you'd
better do a layer of primer which helps to cover the old color.
Roller is the best. Spray is usually used for exterior.
Go to ask Lowes or HomeDepot guys when buying paint. They are glad to give
you professial suggestion. |

结是应该stain 成match 木地板（Braizilian Cherry)的木红色，还是paint成白色？
目前的base moulding是白色的，将来做wainscoting也会是白色。
各位给出出主意，如果是你们你们会选择stain还是white paint?有没有什么讲究？
浅色的hemlock能够stain成近似braizialian cherry的红色吧？很喜欢木红色，而且木头漆成白的有点可惜了。 |

back brush if you want the paint to stick really good.
Works best if you have two people, one spray, one brush. |

caulk everything that shows a crack. small nail hole also can be caulked.
to see a paint job, is from the side, not from the from of the wall.
if u don't sand it even, everything will show from the side view.
a good paint job needs almost a professional help, that's my advice. |

发帖数: 4192 | 25 Home depot真黑。sample paint还要钱。发现lowes居然不要钱，一下子要了10桶
sample，回家一个个试，终于试出一种比较接近的。然后再去lowes，要了这个颜色附
近5种sample，找到一个几乎看不出来的。Home depot的sample居然还不能退。早去
lowes，不用花钱就能补好了。结果还在home depot花了冤枉钱。发誓永远不去home
depot.
还有一个tip，补墙上的paint，不用毛刷子，用一种海绵刷子，和滚筒出来效果一样。
刷子只有5毛钱一个。 |

头两天,半夜四点老婆起夜发现房顶楼水，最先是洗手间，然后卧室也开始漏，觉得应
该是楼上的住户引起的，但是深更半夜也没敢去敲人家的门（一个黑人），左思右想，
拨了来美后的第一个911，来了四个壮汉，确认是楼上漏水，帮忙去敲了楼上的门，发
现楼上的马桶不知什么原因漏了，关了水源，但是房顶还是滴滴嗒嗒的
第二天leasing office来人看了看，先把地毯吸干，然后说等房顶干了要paint房顶，
当时拒绝了，说对大肚婆和宝贝不好,
我们也和他们说想换一个apartment, 他们倒是答应了，但是目前没有合适的，今天我
在想，住在这种房顶有大片水渍的房里是不是也对老婆和肚里的孩子不好啊？
有没有什么其他的办法能修补一下？ |

10尺，其它的9尺。以前刷过墙，觉得可以搞定。可是对天花板没把握。我们这地方又
太农村，想包给人做会很贵。今天去lowes看见他们广告到7/11有$10 off every $50
spent on paint and supplies.其中有这种paint sprayer。很高兴，以前没听说过这
种粉刷工具。上网搜了一下，发现好象不是那么乐观。貌似需要一些经验和技巧。问下
大家有用过这种工具吗?容易上手吗，对女生而言? |

发帖数: 9607 | 40 paint的一个重要作用是遮盖，所以paint的主要成分是氧化钛。颜色是另加的染料。我
们去home depot买漆，工作人员就是从货架上拿下来一罐白漆，放到自动配色机底下添
加颜色。
stain通常没有遮盖作用，只有色料。pigment stain是里面有颜色的固体悬浮小颗粒，
它们能嵌入木头本身的纹理中。光滑表面其实也可以用gel stain，应该是靠gel里面的
粘合剂附着在表面。
我用过dye stain。dye的颜色是来自分子而不是颗粒，渗透力更强。 |

intend to repaint, then you don't need clean the old paint/stain very
thoroughly. A good primer should be able to do. If you want to stain,
preparation is really a pain in the a$$ process.
I will not do it if the furniture is not really that high end. |

现在是黑色的wood siding，褶皱状，也许是cedar shake, 我得弄成正常点儿的颜色。

不知道现在的是solid stain还是paint, 感觉stain的可能性更大一点儿，因为没看到
peeling, 而且颜色层很薄（有一些地方的木头被磨的露出原色了）
怎么处理比较好？ 我感觉paint很容易strip的，而且我这边很潮湿，所以我倾向于重
新stain一下，但是不确定能不能把原来的黑色盖住... |

多了, 效果也更好. 如果有钱, 还是做coating比较好. 如果paint了想再restucco就不
容易了. |
