I heard a story during past WSOP broadcast that a gambler won 40M bucks
during 70s (at that time, that kind of money well worth 100-200 M in today's
money) in 3 year, then the lost it all in next 2 years. 99% the gambler
will eventually take the same path.
Going broke is normal for those top players too. Tom Dwan said he never
broke before, maybe this time he is caught.
Hard to imange he still need to film High Stake Poker. If I were him, I will

actually you are right.
Online, if you have a lot of poker pros as your close friensd, you will have
super advantage.
because on the final table, they can give you a lot of information,
including how to play.
Surely enough, the pro can not play for you, but they still can chat using
MSN or sth similar.
(Suppose this wsop main event HU part is online,) Moon can chat with phil
hellmuth, he will win for sure. Similarly, if jonneybax play for cada, cada

one problem with online is if your opponent wants to study your patterns, he
can really do it with the help of lots of databases and analysis software.
hold'em is not really a that complicated game, with hundreds of thousands of
your hand history available (like durrrr's), you don't have much secret
left. when durrrr played this guy, i guess he doesn't really even know much
who he is and how he plays yet (until paying high "tuition").

And you guys don't have much idea how to play poker either. Especially
heads up, which is a very high variance game. There is a huge edge when you
are playing heads up, as you can play every hand with the donk. However,

if he lost 3.4M in a few days, he'll just be like any other player, to go

as for donkness, who knows who Isildur1 really is? and why he's donk?

Isildur1 is not a donk and is likely an excellent player. However, his edge
over Durrr (if there is) is not 2 million+ USD. Also, poker is an ego game
, especially heads up. The problem with high stakes online right now is
there is no more easy money to make. There used to be a billionaire who

some reason he stopped playing and now there is no more "easy" money to make

Just look at High Stake Poker, for instance. In season 1 (just 5 years ego),
the buy in is $100,000, it is a big deal when Sammy Fahha won a big pot

Anyone who thinks a regular high stake player is a donk must be a donk. You'
re missing the point here. durrrr's problem is if his bankroll is not that
strong, he should just stop in the middle. his friend said Isildur1 plays A
game on all 6 tables, if durrrr can't concentrate on these many tables, just
do one. If he can't beat Isildur1, go down several levels or stop playing.

If the other player study durrr's preflop, flop, turn, river play very well,
while durrr has no idea how the opponent plays, durrr is underdog.
Yes, durrr play 6 tables HU, for 6+ hours. Normal ppl can not do that. But
he has no idea whether his opponent is just one pro, or 2 pros. And whether
they cheat in some way. It could be a disaster for durrr.
(I guess gus, patric, david will not play 6 tables HU at the same time. Part
of the reason is that they are not sure if opponent is just one person

The way he plays is not correct at least from bankroll management view.
Winning 600k in 3+ months usually, and lose 2.3million in 3 days. It is not
sth a pro should do.
At least it means durrr does not have edge(or big dog) on that buddy. If
durrr does have an significant edge on that buddy, durrr can play much
smaller pot against his opponent.
Because if Durrr can 100 percent sure to win that buddy, no matter how small
the pot it is, durrrr will win all his opponent's money.

good point, it's really bad for durrrr to play at this stake not knowing his
opponent well yet and paid the high tuition to find out. he needs a lot of
$ (if someone is going to back him) now and quite some luck to come back.
even with patrik, whom durrrr played thousands of hands with (even before
durrrr challenge), still, durrrr said he still found "new" patterns of
patrik in durrrr challenge which he didn't notice before.
i like OMGClayAiken's style better since it's more sustainable, hehe.

Neal Stephenson和《Reamde》
