Sibelius，这个功能很全，跟Finale比很好上手。属于那种既好上手，功能又很强大的。
Finale，历史非常悠久，功能很强大，但是个人感觉操作起来没有Sibelius友好。
前两个功能差不多强大，都可以完成最复杂的任务，而且都自带很全的音色库，如果你
对音色不怎么讲究的话，他们的音色库已经足够大了，可以应付一般需要。但是真实性
跟那些很出名的专门音色库比还是有差距。
Overture，这个很好上手，但是个人感觉功能不如前两个强大。在国内很流行，网上的
谱子有不少是overture格式。
Encore，90年代很流行，后来好像不再出新版的了。当年属于比Finale功能弱，但是比
Finale好用得多的软件。我有不少曲子是在Encore里写的。
Sibelius，Finale和Overture都可以调用任何第三方的VST音色库。Sibelius和Finale
自带的音色库也很大很全，Overture的不是很了解。
还有很多不太出名的软件，国产软件也有好多种，有的还可以输入简谱，有的可以简谱

上周五忙着给网友写生日帖，忘了来州版贴耶鲁本科生芭蕾舞团的表演《仲夏夜之梦》
，不知道有朋友去看吗？周五、周六演了两晚，在College St上的Cooperative Arts &
Humanities high School——我都不知道市中心还有个高中，co-op是非正式的高中吗
？这个非专业的芭蕾舞团去年春天才成立，这是第一次表演，免费观看。我惊奇地发现
虽然他们转圈不多，落地不稳，但我得到的享受好像和专业芭蕾表演没有太大的区别。
可能一来是我外行看热闹，只要有个芭蕾的姿势架子，我就很领会精神、不计其余；二
来这出莎士比亚喜剧轻松嬉戏，门德尔松的音乐活泼欢快，学生们的青春和穿插其中的
幽默现代舞片段也大大弥补了古典舞功底的不足——编舞都是学生们一手搞定，真了不
起。

现在的专利官司大多在扯皮。我印象很深的是goog vs yahoo 的专利，竞价排名其实是
overture 首创的，yahoo 后来买下overture, 打来打去， goog 也就赔了yahoo $1b
了事。没有竞价排名就根本没有google.
专利也是个双刃剑，什么才是专利？什么才是应该保护的？是个值得研究的问题。我个
人倾向于即使授予这样的专利，保护期限也可以缩短到两年左右。 制药的好像是20 年
？研制药投入的成本太大了。 |

因为每年回国探亲的缘故，几年前开始有的2年多次入境签证给我们提供了方便。当听
说有新的5年多次入境签证时，先生和我都非常兴奋。我们将在这个月下旬回国探亲，
先生上次的2年签证还有效，而我的上次2年签证在这个月初过期，必须申请新签证。在
准备签证申请表时，我兴致勃勃地填写了5年多次入境。
然而，这个星期一到中国领事馆申请新签证时才知，5年多次入境签证是给在中国停留
至少6个月以上的人。而我探亲才3个星期，因此依然只能申请2年多次入境签证。刚被
告知时，有一点点的失望，但很快就阿Q地想到现在的2年多次入境签证毕竟比早期1年
多次入境签证要好多了。这样一想，就又开开心心地了。
2. 音乐会
很幸运，我们居住城市有声誉颇佳的交响乐团、芭蕾舞团、和歌剧团，大大地丰富了本
城居民的文化生活。在女儿小企鹅的成长过程中，我们全家是这3个文艺团体的常客。
女儿尤其喜欢观赏歌剧，认为歌剧既有音乐，又有舞蹈，还有吸引人的故事情节。女儿
离开家上大学后，我和她爸爸虽然空巢，却因为发展了我们其它的兴趣爱好，就从观赏
芭蕾舞团和歌剧团的演出逐渐淡出，但我们一直保持与交响乐团的联系，时不时去观赏

上周五忙着给网友写生日帖，忘了来州版贴耶鲁本科生芭蕾舞团的表演《仲夏夜之梦》
，不知道有朋友去看吗？周五、周六演了两晚，在College St上的Cooperative Arts &
Humanities high School——我都不知道市中心还有个高中，co-op是非正式的高中吗
？这个非专业的芭蕾舞团去年春天才成立，这是第一次表演，免费观看。我惊奇地发现
虽然他们转圈不多，落地不稳，但我得到的享受好像和专业芭蕾表演没有太大的区别。
可能一来是我外行看热闹，只要有个芭蕾的姿势架子，我就很领会精神、不计其余；二
来这出莎士比亚喜剧轻松嬉戏，门德尔松的音乐活泼欢快，学生们的青春和穿插其中的
幽默现代舞片段也大大弥补了古典舞功底的不足——编舞都是学生们一手搞定，真了不
起。

宗教就把一切往神上一推。
让我想起一个小幽默录像：
一个妈妈用William tell overture 的调子唱当妈的工作：催孩子起床，刷牙，吃早饭
，上学等等等等....
然后镜头一换，这个老妈开始唱当爹的工作，仍然用William tell overture" 的
调子：
“找你妈，找你妈，找你妈去吧！”
对我而言，这就是科学和宗教的区别...

For commercial software under windows:
Overture, Encore (I don't have them)
For freeware, under windows, less powerful,
Musette
For Jian Pu, I saw some in Chinese websites, never try before, such as

youtube那个基本一样。不过转成midi到guitar pro里面打开就全乱了。。。。。 |

的启动资金1000万美刀，是Yahoo提供的，当时Yahoo是Expect Google
做新引擎出来，然后卖给Yahoo的，所以才提供资金。因为这事Yahoo
愤然抛售了手里所有的GOOG股份，并且花$1.6B收购了另一家搜索引擎公司
（Overture）。那意思就是没有你张屠户Google，我也吃得了带毛猪。
当然surprise, surprise。Overture没干过Google。
Yahoo做产品不行，投资眼光却是一绝。淘宝的启动资金10亿美刀，也是
Yahoo提供的，换了阿里集团40%的股份。可以说Google和淘宝的存在，
都是靠了Yahoo投资。可惜后来两者都背叛了Yahoo。 |
