3 years ago, my town and many neighboring towns were hit by a big snow storm
. it took a week to get power back. I tried all different things without a
power generator, including cooking from a gas stove, using fireplace, etc. I
even bought a power inverter to power on my gas water boiler (for heating)
from my car. that plan failed shamelessly after the cigarette lighter fuse
burned out :( I bought a power generator a year later, but power outage like
this has never happened again. |

don't call me "naive". between two of us, I am the one that has more
rational thinking.
in fact, one can be killed tomorrow in a traffic accident. its likelihood is
not as low as one gets stuck in a long-term freezing winter power-outage
without cash, without gas, without a car, without a friend, without natural
gas appliance, or even without essential supplies to stay alive. So, stop
worrying about something that is not likely to happen! when shit happens,
deal with it. |

not sure what you meant by "comfort zone we ... used to".
in fact, the world we used to was much harsher, perhaps many of us forgot
that because we live in a better life now. people of my age surely remember
the regular power outages when we were still young. there was no heating, no
power generator, no car, no cell phone, no snow plow, not even shelter or
appropriate social facilities. but we have all survived, happily. so, no
big deal if we are out of power again. |

Few weeks later the door's having problem again (can only open half way), I
adjust the pull force to open it, but then decided to do some research and
figure out broken spring is behind the trouble.
If you have a single door or your door is relatively light weighted, even if
the spring is broken, the motor can still open/close but that's not good
for the motor.

Was thinking about getting a gas generator (in case of power outage for days
) or upgrade to a 8 gal air compressor, but I hardly use my power tools. I

所以对于家里网速在200 Mbps以上的，可以加25刀买新款的

下行风险 因为春天是US refiners capacity turnaround/ outage 的季节 。加上

MM=market maker这个没有错，它站在了散户对面也没有错，但是这里的问题是。当你
initiate了你的position。 Does market maker still has positions？
古板最常见的言论是：MM今天如何如何，我今天从MM那里赚了xxx……
这里错在哪里？
MM做的是类似scalping trading，类似于buy front，sell front。所谓的计算机高频
也是类似的原理，这就是为啥职业玩家需要premium service有IT dedicated line，也
就是为啥你需要NBBO，better 路由交易。
很多人每天不懂计算机，而鼓吹计算机大牛如何写程序交易其实特别可笑。科学技术在
物理面前一筹莫展。哥当年敲错一个command raise的outage不可修复，从那以后我明
白，工程师基本就是一坨屎。也是我未来trade能源的基础。
