LAX志工John Ortiz 24日午間準備下班時，在第二航廈遇見劉太太祖孫兩人在機場裡轉
悠，劉太太看見Ortiz穿著制服、掛著名牌，上前向他求救，一開口就是國語。
Ortiz是西裔，但相貌有點亞洲相，常被誤認為華人。他比手畫腳向劉太太表示自己不
懂中文，但見劉太太一臉失望，當下決定幫忙。
透過小孫女翻譯，Ortiz了解祖孫兩人自北京搭機抵達洛杉磯，要轉機前往達拉斯，但
卻找不到轉機航廈。Ortiz 看了劉太太的機票，發現往達拉斯的聯合航空班機11時50分
就要起飛，當時已經11時40分，肯定趕不上。
Ortiz一面帶著兩人從第二航廈趕往第六航廈的聯航櫃檯，一面致電聯航，看看能否安

其中Appier, Ortiz是软肋，发挥一不稳就麻烦了。Lackey的球我以前没看过，
不过这次她投得不错，Washburn没得说，不过flyball pitcher碰到举人的大
棒子也要多小心。。。
Giants SP:
Ortiz, Livan, Schmidt, Rueter
前三个都不稳定，either good or bad，另外他们的control是个问题，Rueter
有点像Glavine,掏外角掏的我昏昏欲睡。。。
相比较Giants的先发实力上强一些，不过也就一些而已，主要还得看领场发挥。。。 |

1)8局当Ortiz上垒后没有换PR，当时仅仅领先一分，考虑到红袜牛郎的表现，多一分保险
分可以多给他们一点保证，少一点压力，同时给对方多一点难度。而且Ortiz是 DH， 8局
打完本来应该就没有他的任务了。你当然要想9局结束。
果然下面mueller double,结果大胖子Ortiz无法得分。
2)kim的问题。换kim真的是一大败笔。虽然kim is wild and shaky, 但和Embre比，俺宁
愿赌kim. Embree更糟糕，印象中他砸锅无数。现在不仅吹了save, kim的信心也没了。
3)最后一局要lowe ibb 成满垒，why? 堵死自己的转还余地。。
比赛中许多不详的预感一一应验，越看越觉得As要赢的气势不减，红袜输了这场比赛，真
的是赔了夫人又折兵。这个系列不妙。 |

Ortiz...怎么说呢，他是像Ryan Howard那种打不到则已打到就是slug的那种，但是岁
数不饶人啊，他要是像howard那么年轻估计也是40+HR很轻松的。而且他在红袜有老本
可吃啊，一手把红袜从坑里捞出来...左右打倒是问题不大，习惯而已。（对于Ortiz不
存在离一垒垒包近的问题）
Masterson哪经历过这么大压力...先发的时候都是小联盟拉上来救火（这意味着对他的
成绩不会有太大要求），而且没有说一个BB就要命的时候啊。一直觉得应该把clay送去
改造，这年月sinkerballer很受追捧的。 |

I checked Clutch for Jeter, Pedroia, Youkillis, ARod, Tex and Ortiz, ManRam.
Jeter has a career 2.5, Pedroia career 1.7, Youkillis career -0.97, ARod
career -8.34 , ManRam career -4.96, Ortiz career 2.2, Tex career 2.44.
Sample size for Pedroia and Youkillis is too small though. Tex only has 6
and half seasons under his belt too... |
