compensation to the Duplessis Orphans, who were physically and mentally
abused in Roman Catholic institutions more than 60 years ago.
The orphans suffered sexual and physical abuse, including electroshock and
lobotomies, in Quebec orphanages run by the Catholic Church in the 1940s and
'50s.
In many cases, orphans were forced to work and kept out of school, even
though school attendance was mandatory in the province.

Orphans in the Sky》，Robert A. Heinlein的早期作品。结果就凑成三十四部吧。而
且，刚才又听完了一般音频书，《Four Against the Arctic》，David Roberts。但是
，那个算是听书，不算读书吧。所以，总数还是三十四部。
前几天读过Greg Bear的《Hull Zero Three》，一个星际方舟上面的离奇故事。就对于
星际方舟的这个话题感兴趣起来。Heinlein的这本《Orphans in the Sky》可以算是早
期的星际方舟题材的书，出版于1941年，算起来到今年也快到七十年了，明年就整整七
十年。
整部书很短，只有一百多页。一艘去外星殖民的星际方舟上面发生了哗变，懂得星际航
行的船员们都遇难，剩下的船员们都不懂得如何如何控制这条船。好在这条船的自动化
程度很高，船员的基本生活可以保障。
许多代人以后，船员们都不知道在飞船外面还有一个宇宙，整个飞船就是他们自己的宇
宙，社会制度蜕变成了封建制，所谓的船长就成了国王，“科学家”们就成了教师阶层

orphan drug 有不少优势，a）7年的market exclusive，b)政府部分和private
insurance 对orphan drug的cover是相当给力, c) fda 批的特别快 （INCY 这次非但
给priority review, 还提早了半个月批准）。还有一些其它隐形的benefit： 比如
orphan drug 治疗的病人数比较小，market的成本小很多，也容易控制. orphan drug
的价格可以开的很高，很离谱。
比如 alxn 的 Soliris 可以开到400K／year 的费用，价格大于100k/year 的orphan
drug 随处可见 （dndn 开到93k 就已经觉得太贵了）
2. Jakafi 是治疗mf的第一个新药，可以说是目前的特效药，而且是传统的口服药，所
以推广起来要容易很多。（对比于dndn要先抽血，然后运到工厂，分离培养，再运回去
，输入）。
Jakafi 目前开价84K/year. 一点不贵。
