这玩意儿我用过两年，主要是用来打电话，语音导航，紧急救援，维修提醒，还有防盗。
虽然叫OnStar，其实就是里面有个sim卡(CMDA的)，通过手机网络传送信息，和Star没
半毛钱关系。
这些年汽车技术发展，蓝牙几乎成为新车标配，所以打电话这个功能几乎没用。无论是
手机导航还是车载导航，都比那个语音导航好得多。
坑爹的是OnStar每个月都要收费，现在一个prepaid的智能手机就能解决的问题。
OnStar 1995年推出的时候好像高大上，但是现在智能手持设备早就把这玩意儿变成了
恐龙。 |

I have a 3-yr OnStar subscription, came with my 2014 Volt. Over the past 6
months, I used it a dozen times. About half of the cases, I used it as an "
intelligent" GPS, especially when I wanted to go to a place under tight time
constraint. I just call OnStar, and tell the agent where I want to go, and
he/she will search the location, set the GPS and push it to my in-car

in comparison, the OnStar RemoteLink App is indeed useful. I can turn any
phone/computer as my backup key fob. I can also locate my car and use the
android/apple voice interface to find locations and push to the in-dash GPS.
I use it on a regular basis.
But if you only use the remote start/lock/horn features, I don't think it
requires an active OnStar service. Based on this page, those features are
available for free for 5 years with or without the OnStar service.

陀螺控制，使发射天线能自始至终对准卫星，体积、重量和成本决定了onstar只能接受

告诉他们你要去哪，然后他们就把地址下载到你的车载的GPS上，这样就省去了输入时
间，另外，如果你正在开车的时候也减少了风险
onstar还可以下载手机的app，这样就可以远程点火、熄火等等。 是免费的。不过我的
还在1年的免费期内，过了一年就不知道还是不是了。
不过续约onstar好像一个月也就不到20，价格还可以，还每个月给你发你的车检报告，
提醒用户一些service等信息。
总体来说我感觉还不错。 |

如果一年开的少了保险还能打折，一辆车一年收费140，我家俩新司机打折能返快500。
另外每个月3块的实时追踪，手机遥控的远程开关车门引擎也不错

自动定位自动报警。 前年不是有中国留学生开夜车翻山底下撑了好几天都没人发现么
。 有onstar的车气囊弹出来以后电话自动打过来问你ok么，收不到车主回复就定位报
警。人烟稀少的大农村比较好用。
每月额外3块随时定位车子位置, 家里有高中生不放心去哪的，怀疑老公老婆有外遇的
都可以买一个。

冬天下班在电梯里遥控启动吹暖气。
出去跑步胳膊上绑个手机，车钥匙扔车里，回来了电话开门就行。还有娃不小心锁车里
了--- 我知道这些用密码进入更好，这不是通用没有么… |

总之这玩意就是个落后于时代的产物，十年前的话，还能wow一下人。

发帖数: 4233 | 45 理论上讲onstar就是个gps加报警电话。据说气囊弹出后onstar会有人来联系你，如果
电话不通就会帮你报警。去年加州有个中国学生开夜路掉下山过了一周多才被发现，警
察说他车祸后还支持了两天，如果是带着onstar的多半可以救回来。
后来onstar又有了一些新玩法，比方说导航，这个用处不大。
比方说电话服务台/手机app遥控锁车门开车门，这个用处也不大，有keyless entry+自
动落锁就足够了。车配着有remote start的还可以手机遥控启动热车，这个在北方有点
用处。
我看重的是onstar和gmac车险配合的车险打折。有onstar的车可以加入low mileage
program，车险9折，并且开的少车险可以打折。最低一年7500mile以内车险6折，依次
累进。我家两个新司机两辆车全险一年要3k，但是一共也就开1万不到。如果都装
onstar的话大概能打1k的折扣，扣除350服务费还有的赚。
等娃长大了要自己开车还能每月3块钱实时追踪车子在哪，当然这个还早呢。

但是只有第一次有换机油记录，后面都没有，只有tire rotation记录。问dealer（不
是换油那家dealer），dealer说当然换了，不可能只做rotation不换油的，肯定是
technician忘写了。但是第一次换油的确有记录，而后来两次都没有，难道technician
都忘了？这个是不是因为是lease的车，车主也不想好好维护，就没去换？请大家给帮
忙看看。谢谢了。

务根本不用开通，只要有这个硬件，就有内置后门可以远程遥控打开，车越smart能遥
