这已经不是第一次去圣胡安群岛了，San Juan群島由許多大大小小的450多个島嶼組成
，位於华盛顿州西北和加拿大溫哥华島間的太平洋內海灣中。其中居住人口最多，最熱
鬧的，是面積第二大的San Juan Island（143.62 km²/55.5 sq mi）。这面积第
一大的，就是Orcas Island（149.43 km²/57.7 sq m）了，但是从名气上来说，
前者更大一些，而且岛屿中最大的城市是Friday Harbor, 也位于圣胡安岛上。和San
Juan Island不同的是，Orcas Island更加的安静，还有海拔更高的山地，更具有浓厚

pianist and the orchestra. It seems to me she is just trying to play the
notes. I stopped listening after the cadenza in the first movement.
For woman pianist, I think Olga Kern plays this piece much better than her.
Among the younger generation and newer recordings, I like this version the

好像并不能压倒我的其他任务。学校的事务繁忙。大三我就开始做化学课
的TA，所以只好把ballroom往后放放。我仍旧留在哈佛队里但是我的任务
已经减至最小。那年我大概也就参加过一次或两次comp吧。但我的确相信
，虽然我并非很努力，我的skills还是进步了一些。第一次comp，我和拍
档用一个下午在壁球场地上练习，感觉挺好。我们最终获得Bronze Chacha
的第6，而且我俩都感觉良好。第2个comp我们试图去参加silver/gold，结
果惨败。到此为止我的本科时期的舞蹈生涯基本结束。
一晃就是4年过去了，我很少再想起ballroom。这些年里，我毕业，工作了
2年，然后去SF进入研究生院，准备拿个博士学位。这期间，我的舞鞋（在
我让Olga“羞辱”之后，我的确去买了一双拉丁鞋）和舞服被我塞在箱子底
里来回搬家。 我一些好朋友知道我曾经是哈佛队的一员。当他们给别人提
起此事的时候，我总是觉得有些惭愧，因为好实际好像并未学到很多。无

A question about Russian names: they put their family names after given
names, right? But why do girls have family names ending with -va and -a (
guys with -ski or -kov). I used to think those -va are given names. Do they
modify family name if the baby is a girl?

盾。
这之前，看到有一个人在youtube上说‘i am afraid she is losing her speed.' 这
句话象针扎了我一下。现在看到清晰的clips。在samba里面我都看到她明显出错,或者
说不够灵活的地方， 这样说吧，她有些时候，很不明显地(not detectable for most
people)，似乎跟不上slavik, 特别是快一点的dance。
我希望这只是暂时的状态， 通过一年warmup， 她能够恢复到很好的状态。

发帖数: 2094 | 40 I went to Olga's lesson today. My major problem is I know a lot technique
but I do too little in my dancing. The reason is I have tried to do
everything correctly at the beginning. She realized my problem and started
to relax me by not picking too much on me and let me dance and feel it.
She gave me a short routine and it was a nice one. I paid a lot attention where her arms go because there is coordination of body parts that makes the movements connected. I enjoyed my lesson.

won more than 1 dance, it would be a surprise. Michael/Joanna really
dance like a true champion this time and got the audiences with them.
You can read gossip at dance-forums.
Blackpool is smaller and smaller. You came in the right time. German
Open is already a bigger competition and it seems Blackpool won't
win back as much dancers as 5 years ago. For sure, Chinese dancers

异地说。Franco肯找Olga跳还是挺招人待见的，算是不以年龄取舞伴，但是结果我也不
乐观。不过他们好像还是决定在一起跳得。Oxana这次貌似22/23了，好像jive更前paso
更后。记得Donnie说过，一个finalist的男的找个100女的，还是finalist.一个
