。我没用过prepaid手机，不大清楚，求教本版。
2.她定了个法拉盛的家庭旅馆，号称商务旅馆，一晚80刀带卫生间那种。我以前去NYC
住过这种似乎不太干净。NYC的兄弟姐妹们有没有推荐的定旅馆的。常见的旅馆在NYC都
太贵，有没有120刀左右比较干净的？

cold in early September. Always foggy or gloomy in the morning but lovely in
the afternoon.
Chinese food to me is mediocore, taste ok, a bit expensive.
LA: Where I am. I liked it most so far. Hate the traffic. Weather is almost
perfect, 2nd only to SD/SB.
Chinese food is the best in the US. Cheap, versatile and authentic
NYC: Been there for 1 week. Would be my 2nd choice after LA. Public

适合过小日子。另外，加州的气候非常好，LA的气候比SF好点，非常适合
不喜欢冬天天寒地冻的人生活。NYC跟芝加哥一样，冬天太冷，不好玩。
当你shopping多了，就不会觉得NYC那些shopping mall的名牌有啥吸引力，
反而它的博物馆和文艺活动有魅力多了。 |

哪个大城市没有？所有城市都是排名一样的？NYC能列在时尚之都第一，根本就不是
靠shopping mall,曼哈顿上面的shopping mall数量是个位数。但是最关键是在NYC的
fashion designers。跟你说了，别盯着看第五大道。SOHO和Madison Avenue才能算是

比时装shopping，LA比不过NYC，但比好玩，LA好玩多了，随便走走就是一个

master会怎么样呢？
PS：说说我的情况吧：NYC生物烂校ph.d第二年，越发觉得没有动力读下去了。于是想
转行。鉴于NYC药厂，医院，研究所相当之多，故倾向于在这里读个生统master，大概3
，4年后毕业，找一份安安稳稳的工作--只要比生物博后的性价比高就行。

发帖数: 2762 | 16 NYC - 在NJ的Secaucus住，坐Bus20分钟到NYC中城。在城里就靠腿和Subway, Taxi了。
买了NYC City Pass,去了Status Of Liberty，没上去，据说Monument Access已经预约
到11月了。不知真假。
上了两座高楼，Empire State Building 86 层和Top of Rock, 感觉后者比前者好，人
少，View更清楚。
参观了National History和大都会博物馆。前者对孩子真好，模型栩栩如生，又易懂。
东西也很多，我们走马看花看了Indian Hall，Ocean Hall，North America Hall，感
觉还有2/3没看。Metropolitan Museum Of Art也不错，对我们老大来说还是有些太深
奥。看到很多中国国宝在这里，趁机给他讲了讲中国历史，以及美国对中国国宝的掠夺。
游了游Central Park，和名狗Balto合影一张。老大在Chess & Checker House和他爸下
了一盘Chess。这个Park是难得的纽约闹市中一片绿洲，很多雕像，绿树葱葱，还了泛
舟 |

9/9 是保护SHSAT的游行，但请大家都要参与。因为我们要保护的不仅是SHSAT，而是所
有好学校和好学区。 请大家切记SHSAT是因为有州立法的保护，所以我们才有亡羊补牢
的机会。而其它好学校市长可以随时进行改革，连公众听证会都不用举行直接置于死地。
1. 早在6月的时候我们就强调市长白思豪假借种族融合名义，将好学校的名额强制分配
给西裔和非裔。 短短2个月新闻相序曝露了：
a. 多元化达标标准：是以一个学校非洲裔和西裔人数是否达到50% 来定义
b. 多元化计划已经在第一和第三学区先行，紧接着Park Slope （District 15）

黑墨背书。看好NYC各个学校向黑墨看齐，把课程简单化。

就能上好学校, 也不看看人黑墨市长总监嘴上的“全面发展”就是给黑墨
定做的。把其他学校的华人刷掉就能轮到你家华人孩子，想的美，人
宁愿给差十万八千里的黑墨也不会给你家小孩。还有一些
外州华人作弊觉得减少NYC 好学校的华人小孩，自己的小孩就能上
好大学，殊不知减少的这些名额都给黑墨了，然后华人小孩上大学比例更低
了，人一看elite high school的黑墨就录了，谁管他是不是垫底。
所以说这些作弊华人no zuo no die. 一边骂着一边还是捏着鼻子选民主党
