I heard about that, nicely done on the self-rescue! I saw a log, probably 8
-10 ft long, in the second rapid of pinball, but it wasn't in the line I
took. Sounds like it may have moved, but someone else would have to confirm
that.
This tree was downstream of Vlad a ways, down in the cl II-III boogie... it

发帖数: 3857 | 3 MidWest的山比较小，道相对较少，因为不是很高，季节平均气温高点，滑雪季节比西
部的高山要短，但中西部的雪场没有西部雪场的高山反应，伸手不见五指的狂风天，大
雾天也不多。
而且中西部的雪场的好的地方是大部分雪道都是刮平的雪道，对我们这样水平较低的提
供一些方便，西部大山的N个包包道其实对我这样水准的根本就没有关联，多了也是白
多，雪道少了不会迷路，不用看地图，下来就是Lodge，十分方便。Vail从顶上下来要
Take我40分钟左右，要是在Vail的后山回大屯子时间更长。不要看西部大山的雪道长，
因为高山反应，我一般要停个几次才能滑到底，而且因为休息时间短，容易疲劳，还不
如中西部短道，可以经常在缆车上休息，滑几天都不觉得累。 西部一些雪场的难度比
较高，Brekenridge比较容易，Vail顶上的下来的绿道和Boyne的黑道差不多，而且没有
其他easy道下来，不是初学者可以试的。这是我的看法。
中西部雪场还有一个好处，就是不用飞飞机，现在滑雪坐飞机十分头疼，要加不少行李
费。雪板，雪靴，都要另算行李费，搞丢了一个行李你还没法滑。

Assiniboine省立公园的核心区域不通公路，想进去一般有三种方法：一是从Sunshine
Village步行进入，单程26公里，因为要凑早上的班车时刻、不能太早出发，绝大多数
人都需要在路上过一夜，第二天午后进入核心区；二是从Mt. Shark步行进入，单程23
公里，大部分人可以在一天内完成；三是坐直升飞机，从Canmore或是Mt. Shark出发，
十分钟左右直抵位于核心区中央的木屋旅馆。考虑到时间比较紧；两条进去的路线，沿
路都没有太多风景、却有熊出没，最后决定还是双飞了，也多留点时间在核心区域里走
走看看。
早上在露易丝湖营地睡到自然醒，收拾好东西，晃到位于Canmore的直升飞机公司时，
离预定的10点45分的起飞时间还有一段距离；在屋外找了张椅子坐着晒太阳，看停机坪
上的几架直升飞机不停的起飞、降落、加油、再起飞——往Assiniboine运送游客只是
这家公司的副业，主业是直升飞机观光，游客是络绎不绝。
