中午, 东部时间)公布外, 主要是把以前的Scramble改为现在的SOAP(Match Week
Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program). 我个人认为这也是为明年取消
Prematch所相应产生的一个新系统, 相应确保Programs能招满他们想要的人. 这个系统
相当于第二次MATCH, 我觉得比Scramble好而且更加有序.
有关SOAP的具体规定如下:
1. 提交了ROL(certified rank order list)但没有MATCH成功的申请者在3月12日中午
得知结果的同时, 会得到Access to List of Unfilled Programs并同时有资格参加
SOAP.

2013 there is a new NRMP policy "All-in Programs". That means:
1. For main residency match, any program that participates in the Match must
register and attempt to fill all of its positions through the Match.

目前的NRMP Policy是"Some In, Some Out". 从明年开始, 将实行"All In Programs"
Policy, 对Programs来说, 要么全走Match或全走Prematch(offer positions outside
of match). 我个人认为, 这可能影响两种类型的Programs:
1. 目前的绝大多数positions是以Prematch形式给出, 也许会在新的政策下, 将把所有
Positions以Prematch或其它的outside of match形式给出．
2. 目前只有很少一部分positions是以Prematch形式给出, 在新的政策下, 将把所有
Positions参加每年三月的Main Match．
这就看Programs怎么决定了, 我觉得对申请者而言, 影响不会很大, 因为目前Policy和
将来的Policy都有Pros和Cons, 取决于申请者的whole package, personal goal等多种

4. SOAP starts from March 12, 2012.

programs.
For candidates, as no one knows how he/she ranks, except him/herself, he/she
always can brag that he/she got the first choice.
However, the ranking list for program is known by ACGME office and necessary
departmental personnel. It is always desirable for some programs to brag

发帖数: 704 | 28 I though it explains the ranking algorithms pretty well. The key is the tentative,not the final or fixed, match until all the appliants get over their list and close of the matching process. That's why your ranking list should be based on your own interests or preferences.

实际情况估计可能没有听到的那么困难，当然了，肯定不容易。考个考谱的分数，
whole package，加上语言，social能力还行的话，希望还是有的。
想当年自己准备的时候总是觉的困难重重，缺乏信心和信息。 希望这个信息对咱CMG,
尤其是刚开始准备的童鞋是个鼓舞，呵呵。

1. 最主要问题是面试技巧和英语。申请病理，病理observation，只申请了病理，
尽量多申请几个专业，多cover掉，同时两个都行，都申请上。Observation比较重要，
通过这个对将来要进的specialty比较了解，跟attending聊的时候觉得你对这个field
清楚了解，选program的时候注重什么。你是怎么申请program的，ob的时候跟聊天的时
候，外科标本量大于3万的，小科在乎是不是对专业真正地感兴趣。
2. 面试考察：英语+性格是否好，是否跟人很好相处。看talk show，最好在外面跟
人交流，讲得越多越流利。
3. 准备interview的时候，把所有interview的问题都准备一遍，滚瓜烂熟，什么话
题都准备过，感觉不一样。

前发过中性评论, 结果某前任班主以我是它对头的马甲为由, 封了我14天, 其它某些人
(包括MEDWATER大人)在后面吹捧, 夸其火眼进精. 我那时无法辩解, 也不屑辩解...现
在换了人, 问题依旧...

/250,240/240这种人，而且都是有小孩的中年男士。而且估计周围几个男士，不会上这
儿来报分数，报match的。
而且ecfmg统计已经非常说明问题了，再重复一下2012有7000多img match上，远大于nrmp 的数据。你要辩论先拿数据来
说话。

certain that you just get J1 visa. But if you can sign the contract before
match(formly called prematch), you are more likely to get H1. A great number
of community hospitals will withdraw from NRMP so they just offer so-called
prematch. In other words, if you do not have any prematch but have to go
through match in March, it is much less likely you get H1. Hopefully, it
helps. |

发帖数: 45 | 50 Nrmp也是这样报告的。对IMG , 除非260以上分数，220-260每个分数段，match上和不
上，一半对一半。不少250,240match不上。而且几乎没有一个porgram分数会划在220以
上，上了分数线可能你的背景，推荐信就更重要了。
所以我心里分数也是230, 太高实在浪费时间，而且实在没必要。
楼主其实230也不叫average score,其实就是以前的99, 已经是非常好的分数了，
mitbbs中国人心气就是高。 |
