The art of language -- communicate effectively in clinical settings

The most often asked question in interviews. You need to have a short
statement prepared in your mind. Be careful that it does not sound

w****1 发帖数: 4931 | 4 It's more about the separation between the professional and personal life,
which is important to a healthy
academic climate. The Chinese academic climate stinks. I guess if the
scholars in china can put research fund
into their own pockets, they can't complain too much about people getting
nosy about their personal lives. |

假的时候,说我会用我的sick day,但是尽量会make up the hours的,老板说,"Just
relax,
there are other more important things."

c*********7 发帖数: 54 | 9 I have the same pressure too. Almost all of the Chinese people around me
have babies. Most of time the lunch topic is about kids and buying houses.
Especially for kids, even male colleagues talk about how they prepare for
their wives' delivery and how they raise their kids, etc (even about what
food can make mom produce more milk). Sometimes I really don't want to talk
with them. |
|
y******9 发帖数: 127 | 10 I have same experience too. Many of my colleagues have their babies during
these couple of years. I started to try earlier than them, but I am the
only one hasn't have one. Some of my colleagues have three kids already all
delivered after they are forty years old. Really speechless.
