了。奇葩的事情发生了，居然收到了onsite邀请，本来不想来的，但是痛恨自己不牛啊
，没有offer，明知道自己只是陪太子读书，还得接收阿三的凌辱，但还是得硬着头皮
来。
昨晚到达酒店后的奇葩是，以为会有封信告诉我明天怎么meet，有没有人来接我之类的
（之前onsite学校就是这样的），结果啥都没有，大半夜的出去边找边问怎么去某某
department。
今早提前十分钟到了这个department，提前三分钟敲第一个面试我的人的办公室的门，
没人。幸好这时旁边一个办公室来人了是个同胞，请同胞帮忙给这个阿三打了个电话。
阿三迟到5分钟。聊的无关痛痒。
第二个哥们是个老美，这个小program唯一的一个英语不错的非阿三面试官。聊的还不
错，白哥哥还是有一定的科研眼光，对我的research挺感兴趣，还聊到想合作的问题。
但是明显感觉不是很如意那种，没有主人翁的感觉，可以理解，在一个被阿三统治的环
境下，白哥哥也得收敛些啊。

on the plane and the mother did not restrain him properly.
In fact, she read several stories in such a loud voice that
everyone nearby felt like she was reading to him/her.
The boy was also standing on his seat and trying to say Hi to

是在做梦，坐起来又仔细听了一下，确实是有人在钦门铃，而且频率很快的那种.我赶
快穿上衣服叫醒老公，从楼上下去这门铃声就没断过.我当时脑中的第一反应就是应该
是隔壁的印度邻居，去年我们家浴室龙头松有漏水到他们的浴室，就是这样连续钦的，
但没有那么高的频率.
开门一看，果真是这位印度邻居.见她一手拿着电话，一手在不停的挥舞，她对电话那
头说”I couldn't fall to sleep,it's too much noisy.I lived in downstairs and
they are upstairs..."反正大概就是说楼上吵她睡不着觉.可是孩子9点多就睡了，连
门铃都没听见，我和老公也是12点就睡了，哪来的吵闹声啊？说到这里，我先把背景情
况介绍一下，希望大家帮我们处处主意.

器的输入端，所以调电位器是不会改变输出端来自放大器自身的噪声的。随身听上的放

时，鬼哭狼嚎，放打击音乐，到了周末从星期四到星期六晚上更是狐朋狗友一大帮，闹

第一周过去了，俺找了manager，丫说会发信警告。之后的周末还好，可是到了星期一
旧病复发，连着星期二，然后是昨晚。今早一起来，俺就到Apartment办公室投诉，要
求换房或提前终止合同。Manager是老油条，估计前一封信根本没发，就说要换房还得
另交300大洋，终止合同就按违约来罚款。俺问他们有什么办法对付noisy people， 他
们就说会再发信，警告罚款100元，等再犯，就再再发信警告驱逐，等再再犯，就驱逐
。还说要俺耐心，顺便问俺有没有报警，俺说没报。丫问为什么，俺说以前遇到类似情
况报过警，警察不来。丫就强烈建议或是用她原话”鼓励“报警。
报警的事，俺不是没想过，只是有朋友遇到过上面说的经历，俺才放弃了。况且傻X才
愿意
半夜三点和一群没教养，野蛮的黑人对峙。到时候或者以后自己吃了亏，还不是自己倒

从那边打来的电话。
面我的是另一人口大国的，Title好像是tech architecture lead之类，之前上
linkedin偷瞄了一下背景，将近二十年经验吧，但没看出来有前端相关的经验。
面试是structured，也就是拿着一堆问题隔着电话问，电话声音质量非常差劲，应该是
IP电话或者类似LiveMeeting之类的，中间还断线两次，面试官的口音各位自己脑补吧
，加上杂音问题，使得我每一个问题都要重复一遍以确保自己听明白了。没多久高潮来
了：
面试官：There is a div with a width of 185, padding of 10, and margin of 20.
What is the width of the div?
此题明显是个陷阱啊，没提box model，没说后一个width的定义，于是我就把content-
box和border-box说了一下，然后分别说明答案。然后他问，shouldn't the margin be

然后是要有策略，人家也没有说我什么，而是就事论事的说他觉得candidate答得没问
题。就是不知道为啥要和我私底下argue，我明明已经解释过了为什么答得不合适。
PS：我挑的问题，一个是neural network的原理，relation between back
propagation and gradient descent；一个是处理noisy data的时候怎么区别signal (
fraud) and noise (bad data)；一个是rare event怎么处理。FICO来的烙印明显没有
处理过这种情况，只能试图把我绕晕。就这样还是principal呢，烙印牛逼。
PS2：其实真正kill烙印的地方是丫显示出想要climb the ladder，我们小地方没有什
么可以climb的。同学们可以参考一下，小地方就不要太强调自己的ambition了。 |

Obviously she doesn't want any responsibility of your kids getting
hurt by her dog.
Air conditioning noise might not be a big issue since if it's on,
usually yours is on also and your windows will be closed.
If she calls the cops when the neighbourhood is noisy after 10,
that means you will have a nice quiet neighbourhood, doesn't it?

mold, 还有一个是deck太旧，说要么修，要么换。加上七七八八其它一下小毛病，
agent建议我们找seller降价$5000
第一次inspection的时候没有开水，所以没检查水管，今天做了剩下的inspection，结

然后就房子本身来说， 我觉得A,B 上的差别不是无法忍受的差别。
1。 living room 里面的优势是 bay window. 我觉得这个好说。A也后也是可以
upgrade的，还比较容易。如果就这样，以后resell也不回因为这个不好卖。
2。就是dinning area的。B的优势是open stair,这个会给人的感觉不一样，因为房子
就会看上去宽敞，和高挑。 这个是个比较大的优势。所以如果买A要把这块需要装修下
，墙面那个墙纸什么的去掉，弄成clean 的颜色，会改善很多
3。其他的我觉没有什么太大差别，就是decoration的问题。你自己多花点心思装饰下
，也不差。A的原房主主要搞得太noisy的感觉，碎花什么的。
但是A的高中确实灭有通过装饰就能改善的。这个是硬伤。 我选a |

have both.
Using the same cold wok, on the hightest setting, I can boil 10 cups of
water from tap to boiling in about 80 to 85 seconds using electric. It takes
at least 90 to 95 seconds to do the same on the most powerful setting on
the gas jet burner.
Plus the gas burner is kind of noisy at the highest setting. |

the less time it will need to run, and the longer it is likely to last than
its smaller pint models for a same room.
If you have a smaller room, a smaller pint model should be fine. Other wise,
a larger one.
No matter how quiet a dehumidifier is, it is still noisy. For a room that
you use often, I highly recommend a larger pint model. |
